☀️Appearance ☀️

Has a scar on the left side of his head that starts behind his ear and curves upwards. It is usually hidden with how he styles his hair.

His appearance is pretty variable. He notably files down his canine teeth. Jeb attributes part of the reason he's lived so long is he has spent a good chunk of it pretending to be human.

✴️Personality✴️

Often touting himself as an honest and religious man, Jeb’s words are filled with talk of god, morality, and the concern for the good of mankind. Of course, all these pretty beliefs are as fake as the name he gives. A conman by trade, Jeb has found that people like him best when they believe him to be an honest working and god-fearing man. If they don't, he can always be someone else.

Uses a lot of doublespeak and metaphors when talking, even with his family. There's a surface level conversation and then there's a conversation in itself of what he's only inferring.

Jeb feels like if people don't realize he is conning them then they deserve to have it happen. It's their fault he stole from them. They should have known better.

🌕Backstory🌕

He's not sure when exactly he was born, just knows that he was born during winter. Took a rough guess at the year based off of historical events he can remember. Grew up in a small fishing town. 

Vampires in this world are a born into kind of thing. You can't be made one, you have to be born one. It's a species. 

A lifelong conman. Spent the majority of his life pulling cons with his twin brother, Aaron. They left home when they were young, much to their family's relief, to go off and lie their way into money. Their partnership in crime lasted up until the mid 1800s. He has a couple of his brother's things still, most notably a pistol which his brother had partially carved a pattern into the grip.

While never officially married, considers a woman by the name of Mary-Anne to have been his wife. Describes her as "the devil herself, but the love of my life." The were together for about 60ish years before her death. Had a set of twin boys with her named Simon and Samuel. Even though Mary-Anne died in his arms, he's only 70% sure the woman is actually dead.

His son Samuel died young. Disowned Simon due to the man's objections to the kind of life Jeb leads and not wanting to 'learn the family trade' of being a for profit liar. Would show randomly back up into Simon's life to ruin things for the man because Jeb is a petty asshole.

Calls his grandson Martin his son. Got custody of Martin by threatening to completely ruin Simon's life and paid Martin's mom to convince Simon to just let him have Martin. Jeb likes Martin well enough. Disappointed that Martin grew up to be a rather good man. Though, Jeb is at least satisfied that Martin is clever and can lie if need be. Likes Martin's wife, Lydia, more than he likes Martin.

Has a soft spot for his granddaughter (great granddaughter) Sandra and treats he on average better than he treats any of his other descendants. However, he has mixed feelings for his grandson (great grandson) Adam. He is proud of how smart and successful Adam becomes, but is a bit afraid of how much the man resents him. Jeb figures that if Adam is anything like himself, Adam will completely screw him over if given the opportunity.

Doesn't really consider his name to be Jeb. Thinks of it more of a nickname that he let's his family call him. 

Knows the cowboy shtick is outdated, but keeps it up usually only around his family. That's the version of him they know so that's what they are going to have to deal with. His family know approximately what his life story is. He's a constant liar so it's hard for them to know exacts.

Reads any and everything from the backs of shampoo bottles to textbooks. Has a weird set of knowledge because of this. Learned to read in his 40s and has not stopped reading at every opportunity since.

Hates dogs. Hates water. Hates modern times due to how interconnected the world has be come. Strongly believes that modern conveniences do not make up for the lack of anonymity and privacy modern times has.
