On the surface level, Constance is quiet, introspective and soft-spoken. However, his true personality is much different. He is callous, cold, and basically a complete bitch. Interestingly, he does have compassion for other people and has been known to help others who are less fortunate than he is.

Constance has a degree in mortuary science but works as a paperboy in . He lives in an apartment above the local funeral home, which has a less than stellar reputation - what else would you expect from a place that doesn’t question missing body parts? He has an intense interest in insects, particularly moths, and collects them.

During his time in university, Constance joined an entomology club that focused on the trading of specimens. Upon realizing his classmate had an extremely rare and valuable moth, Constance made an attempt to steal it when it was left unattended at the end of a meeting. However, he was caught, and in his panic drew the pistol he secretly kept on his person. The boy he was stealing from had a knife and ended up slicing Constance’s throat, giving him a large scar that never faded.

After the incident Constance grew extremely paranoid, claiming to have “experienced something” when he had technically bled out and died in the classroom. His sister, whom he shared an apartment with, grew exasperated with him when he failed to pay bills or even take basic care of himself or the apartment for months on end. She packed her things and left after a heated argument, but was killed by a car as she crossed the street. Constance kept one of her teeth that was laying on the pavement and wears it on a ring around his pinky finger.
