Asphadon. While the once polytheistic Asphadonians are not actively reigious anymore, their spirituality, given shape by the albarin, is still a very big part of their lives. The Asphadonians are very close to nature. Their cities are underground. They were capable of space travel. In their living ships they traveled to the other planets in their solar system.

Albarin, which is their name for a shaman. Deru was the aid/student of the first albarin, counselor to the king. The albarin went through a long training period, the lenght depending on what kind of albarin you want to become. Some are healers, some teachers, some advisors. They all work with plants, spirits, rituals and spells.

Brother, sister in law, nephew and niece, mother. They all remained on their home planet.

Deru had a long training, after which he worked at the palace, serving as the aid/student to the first albarin. When he was twenty five aliens came to his planet. They wanted to take advantage of its resources. In exchange they offered to share their knowledge and technology. Deru's king was one of the few who refused. As time passed by they became more and more secluded, and finally the aliens attacked them. After a brief war they were conquered. The aliens blamed the hostile attitude of the rebel countries on the influence of the albarin, so they banished them from their planet. This was when Deru was twenty nine years old. While his master was also banished, they split up due to a disagreement. Deru has been travelling around his own solar system since then.
