Nettle

❥ PERSONALITY

Nettle is a really sweet and kind girl that is always looking after others, when it is that there are even others around. She's still got a bit of a quirky attitude though and likes to lightly tease people which makes her more of an older sister type of person rather than a mom friend like you might consider her at first. She's very hospitable and welcoming, everyone just feels a little more at home when she's around. Part of this is her trying to come off and make things this way but it's also just largely her natural charm. She's just a naturally gifted warm person that even some of the nastiest individuals can't be completely immune to. But again she's still got that bit of spice to her so don't think she won't still snap a few snarky comments at you or chew you out if you deserve it!

She's very hardworking, even more so because of her disability since she doesn't like to let it stop her. She does still know her limit though and won't push past what she absolutely can't handle, though that doesn't go to say she won't push to the very last edge before that. She can be a little stubborn when it comes to insisting she can handle something but if you can firmly hold your ground she will give in. Nettle tends to neglect herself sometimes so its good to keep an eye out for her too. She also can get pretty bummed out and down about things but tries to hide it or quickly just wave it away especially in the case of when she's around others. She doesn't want to be a bother or have her negativity rub onto them so she'll just push it to the side and say she's fine, even when you can tell whatever it is really is troubling her.

❥ CHILDHOOD

Nettle honestly doesn't remember a whole lot from her childhood. She was abandoned by her birth parents and was luckily found and put into a foster home under the care of two very lovely women. Even back then though she was very weak and sickly hence why most of her earlier years are just a blur with only a few bits a pieces being clear. From what she can recall though, her early childhood was still a good one and can think of nothing but how kindly the two ladies took care of her as they patiently waited for a more permanent home to hopefully take her in. Unfortunately though this hadn't been going too well since no one seemed to want to adopt such an unhealthy child.

Once Nettle had gotten to be about eight years old, her foster mothers were growing older themselves and had become less able to properly care for the young Dainty. The hope for another foster family or even a more permanent home to take her in became more urgent, but thankfully they wouldn't have to wait too much longer. An old witch had come along and had quickly taken a very strong liking to Nettle. She was more than willing to take in the child as long as Nettle didn't mind the fact she might also have to help the old witch around her shop from time to time. Little Nettle was just thrilled someone was willing to adopt her, but giving her something to do despite how weak and sickly she was made it even more exciting! Thus the small dainty was overjoyed to be taken in by the witch.

Living with the witch was honestly just as great as living with her previous two foster moms, if not even better! The witch treated Nettle well and even went as far as treating her the same way she would have any other individual that wasn't sick/disabled. She of course still kept those factors in mind and never had Nettle push herself too far but she wasn't completely useless so why make her feel like she was? Nettle was also lucky enough to pick up a lot of knowledge on herbs, spells, and other skills and tricks from the witch too which ended up being very useful to her later. She even made friends with a few of the boys in the area and grew really close with them as time went on. They all found her fun to be around and became protective of her even, all of them highly willing to beat up anyone that tried to bully or talk badly about her.

❥ ADOLESCENCE

Nettle's life continued on that way for a while until she got closer to her later teens but unfortunately life could't be happy and comfortable for her forever. The witch eventually had passed away but by now Nettle was old enough to have the shop passed down to her from the witch as her own to do whatever she wanted with. On top of that the boys she had grown up with had all made it down the wrong paths in life and gotten into varying levels of criminal work or just stuff that went against the dainty's morals. She saw them a lot less too but they still did come around often enough, and while she does still care for them deeply it made their relationship and her feelings toward it a lot more complicated. She still did her best to make do though and turned the old witch's shop into one that sold handmade clothing and items such as blankets, soaps, home remedies, and plenty of other useful goods and wearable accessories. She turned the other portion of it into a small, cafe-style restaurant as well that served comfort foods made entirely from scratch and even included vegan and vegetarian options so that she could cater to even more people. She used many of the skills she picked up from the witch to produce all of this and while her shop never gained a whole lot of traction, back then it was definitely enough to keep her going at least for a little while. That is before more and more people began to move away from her section of town to to the newer, more developed areas.

Close Childhood Friend - Bernon is the one of the two boys in their group who's noteably older than Nettle making it so that the two of them have known each other the longest, even though she met almost all of the boys roughly around the same time. Regardless though Bernon has always had a bit of an extra soft spot for Nettle and has almost been like a protective older brother to her for most of their life. She'll tease him for it and sometimes even abuses that little bit of power she has with that bit of weakness. Like with all the boys Nettle still worries about Bernon too, but he has a alot more common sense and maturity over the others so she thankfully can worry about him the least. Overall the two are important to one another for they're always keeping an eye out for the other and they get along very well.

❥ JOHANN

Childhood Friend - Johann wasn't really around as much as the other boys growing up but that still didn't mean the two didn't bond much. He might not be quite as close to Nettle as Bernon or Fox might be but they do strongly enjoy each other's company. Like (Bun), he's really playfully flirty and might act unneccessarily dramatic but Nettle knows it's just his way of trying to get her to smile and laugh more. Thankfully Johann really only pickpockets occassionally so when it comes to legal trouble he's probably the least likely to get himself into anything TOO serious, but his slight lack of common sense is what tends to make up for it and makes her worry anyways.
