Rank: Captain of the Queensguard (newly appointed)
Personality: [Noble] [Prudish] [Leaderly] [Driven] [Even] [Cutting] [Naive] [Self-deprecating]

Orison is the poster child for being a model citizen, the typical boy-next-door. Seems like he was made for his position in life, for he performs his duties with a deep sense of allegiance to his pack and its morals. Would never ask those beneath him to do something he would not do himself, and often shoulders the harshest responsibilities to shield others. Has an overwhelmingly powerful sense of justice that he never turns on himself. Those he commands look up to him, and he is well-liked among all ranks of his pack. His own worst enemy, but somehow still the bravest of all.

History:

He is an heir to an enviable legacy, so his parents would say.

Orison was born from a match of duty that grew into one of love. His mother, Lady Runehilde, was a high-ranking noble and a favored lady-in-waiting to Queen Antomina. She would unexpectedly come to marry a bullish but charismatic wolf some three years her junior, one Lieutenant Fjolnir. he was second in command to his own mother, Captain Vielza of the Kingsguard, and was poised to take over for her in the future. The match was something of a comedy of errors it seemed, as Lt. Fjolnir  was considered the highly eligible bachelor among the nobles, whereas Lady Runehilde was an enigmatic and untouchable confidant of the Queen. Their union was the answer to a long political game played by both sides, which ultimately culminated in a tasteful and lavish ceremony. Neither expected to fall very deeply, very happily in love. But fall they did.

The couple would go on to have two litters together, each bearing two pups. Orison was the second child and first son, and was very much doted upon by his parents. While originally born to fill a roll, he was destined to become a testament to his parents' devotion to each other and their pack. While his sister pursued a career in politics, Orison was groomed to inherit that which had brought his family pride for generations. His father was the Captain of the Kingsguard like his mother before him, and her father before her. Orison intended to inherit this position at the time of his father's passing, and trained diligently to do so. It looked like he would forever be his father's second, which bothered him little, preferring to keep his family close than to be tainted by cold ambition.

There would be great tests of courage for Orison. It was with sadness that King Andruille died, but the kingdom passed into the capable hands of his son, King Falmouth. Orison and his family stood beside him through it all, stalwart to the end. It would be the beginning of a new chapter in the lives of the royal family, even as they worked through the grief of losing their beloved king. More tragedy would strike with the untimely death of Queen Eusebia in childbirth, resulting in only one living pup. All was chaos as the guard was tested with ensuring the safety of their king and his single surviving heir.

But an unexpected ally was to be found in the upheaval when King Falmouth decided to appoint the very controversial Queen Quillaq. Orison's own family was mortified, having been close with Queen Antomina's family. They shared many of the negative sentiments about the half-blood. Still, Quillaq was crowned to the shock of the pack, which meant for the time being, she was under the protection of the Kingsguard. In an effort to avoid garnering more hostility, the new Queen asked for volunteers for her own protection services after a short grace period to allow the pack to become accustomed to her new position of power.

Orison had no intention of applying for the job. He swears he planned to follow in his father's footsteps, just as he had from the beginning. But he was often assigned to accompany Quillaq as she went about her duties, and he found (against his better judgement) that there was a lot to admire about the heather-colored wolf. She was a steady and supportive hand to the King, jumping in with little hesitation to stand by him. And it was clear from the moment Queen Quillaq first saw her niece, the Crown Princess Limenia, that she loved her more than anything in the world, putting to rest any fears for her intentions towards the young wolf.

So Orison followed the twist of fate. It is his sworn duty now to oversee protection of Queen Quillaq as the Captain of her Queensguard. The young Captain gets the sense she's going to eat him alive. He also gets the far more unnerving sense that he'd like it.
