Personality
Malachi was a sheltered kid, and thus doesn't know a whole lot about the human world or anything from this. Because of his sheltered upbringing it makes him curious about everything and he's willing to try almost anything, even if it hurts him. He's quite a bit of an idiot, but he always tries his best at whatever's thrown at him, and doesn't let mistakes bring him down.
He's quite a sweetheart though, and will do anything to do anything to help people out, and will always try to be friendly to them. Though people being rude/mean to him can bring him down and hurt him quite a bit, even if he won't show it. Because of some bullying throughout school, he can tend to have some depressive thoughts about himself and that no one cares, but he tends to not show those thoughts or feelings.

Story
History
Malachi was born in a village where Humans and Vampires live together in peace. He was considered pretty important where he lived as he was the first hybrid to be born since peace was made. Always being told that he's living proof that humans and monsters can get along. The village for the most part treated Malachi well, but some weren't as happy with a hybrid existing in the town, and there was some pretty rough comments directed towards him, even if his parents tried to deflect some of them.
He was homeschooled until his highschool years, so while he has pretty good academic smarts, he doesn't know a whole lot of other stuff. But he still has a lot of skills that he learned from his parents like guitar and jewelry making. He still has a lot to learn though. His mom learned about a monster school called Monsuta Academia, and wanted to send him there, so he could learn in a more safe environment and learn about different other monsters in the world.
At the School
After arriving at the school, Malachi did meet some new friends, but also some students weren't too happy about someone being half human at the school. He's been experiencing some bullying from other students, but he doesn't admit to it happening, or if someone were to see it, he would say it doesn't bother him, even if it does.
Even with that, he's still managed to find a fair few friends in the school, ones that have even taken him under their wings, giving him some much needed guidance. He appreciates being able to fall back on them for support, doing the same for them.
Species Abilities
Almost every monster has their own unique abilites, and each one is unique to each species.
Transformation
Malachi can transform into a bat, that he can transform into at will. He can stay in this form as long as he wishes to, even being able to still talk in this form. He often chooses to not be in that form though.
Dhampir Limitations
Malachi is half human as well as vampire, so a lot of the vampire abilities are limited, but gives him some benefits as well. He doesn't have the limitation of not being able to go in sunlight, as he's completely fine, and he doesn't have to drink blood either, even if he still can if he so wishes to. He can't float like other vampires, and instead tends to slowly fall. He also doesn't age as slowly as vampires, even if he lives longer than a human would.

This student doesn't seem to have learned any magic. Maybe he has just chosen not to, or maybe his human half prevents him from being able to do so.

Malachi has had to change roommates a few times at his school by this point, and thus at this point he feels wary to try and get attached to Silas, out of worry he'll just have to move again. But at the same time he tries to be friendly to guy, and encourage him.

Anna
[ Friend ]
Anna was a bit tough on Malachi at first, but very quickly did learn to care about him, after learning about how other students treat him for being half human. He is grateful for her support and enjoys having her as a friend, even if he does wish she didn't threaten everyone in trying to defend him. After Anna was revealed to be a human, Malachi at first felt a bit of betrayal from Anna having lied to him, but he still managed to find it in his heart to forgive her, because he just wants to be friends with her. Zuri
[ Crush ]
While Zuri is a bit overwhelming for Malachi at times, he can find her nice...in her own way. Though he kinda avoided getting too close to her despite his crush since she insulted him unintentionally sometimes. After a while, she realized what she was doing hurt him really badly, and started making an effort to stop, and the two started to get closer after that. Malachi does find himself liking her a lot, but also struggles with a lot of his own feelings, and thus has yet to confess to her, feeling like she'd never like him
Selby

Selby and Malachi became decent enough friends pretty quickly, but ended up becoming much closer after having a heart to heart with each other. Where they both were having a rough day. Now the two would always be available to defend and protect one another if anything happens. Malachi looks up to Selby a lot, even if it's not always the best idea.(character belongs to TriedCoffee)
Lilly

Lilly is one of Malachi's closest friends, and she is always willing to go along with the weird antics he gets into. The two both work on a similar wavelength as each other, and they enjoy spending time together as good friends.
