Honestly, he’s one of the sweetest people you’ll meet and he has such a big heart. This was a positive outcome to the abuse he faced as a child both before and during his time in the Shining Stars Orphanage. He’s very personable and easy to get along with, unless he deems a personality type “unsafe” to interact with further than as just a customer. He can also be protective. More so of those close to him, but he doesn’t like seeing someone in harm’s way even if they’re a stranger.

History

Growing up, he didn’t have the best of parents and frankly they didn’t actually want him, or a child in general really. For this reason he was eventually given to Shining Stars orphanage at a fairly young age. He didn’t mind this. Despite the reputation of the place, it was far better than dealing with his drunken father and mentally unstable mother.

After a couple years he found it to be a stable home, and his spunky and forward personality allowed him to have better treatment than the other children. This was done on purpose… he didn’t like the way any of them were treated so he took on a big brother role and forced better conditions and halted a good deal of the abuse. At least until he was eventually adopted.

About a year or two before he was adopted he met the inseparable pair of Ku and Micah. As with the other children he protected them and they were grateful, especially Micah who was so weak. The younger driftling often clung to him when Ku was busy or unable to be around. (You know, time out for biting another child and such.) Because of little things like this, he became quite close to them. It was so hard to leave them…

Adoption day came and a sweet couple who dissappoved of the practices of the orphanage requested to take in the older boy. They was under an assumption that he’d be less likely to be adopted because few wanted to adopt the older ones and he was already 14 at the time. This was partially true, but most of these children would find a hard time finding this bit of freedom despite their ages.

He was given a good life from there! He gained an education to the extent that he could and was given more love than he could have hoped for. Later on the boy begged his new parents to take in at least Ku and Micah, but unfortunately they didn’t have the funds to do so and by the time he could contribute they had already run away.

When he was 20 years old, he and a friend decided to open up a little café in a quiet but busy little town. Most of the funding came from his wealthy friend who later disappeared without a trace.

Today

Today he runs the same little café filled with warm drinks and delicious treats mainly by himself with help from time to time. He loves his job and his life but he still misses the friends of his past terribly. He wishes he could have saved them… On Tuesdays when the café is closed, or other days off, he’s often times seen strolling around town in his fluffy jacket or various tank tops depending on the season. During the holiday season, his café is always cutely decorated for Christmas.
