Sam

Painfully shy 'kid' who is just about to graduate from college a little younger than the norm. what fascinates him most is technology, rather than other people and their pithy goings-on.
he was raised on a backwater farm, or at least for a large amount of his life he was transplanted there (it boggles peoples minds to think he was born in New York)! but he doesn't intend on going back any time soon. his mom had always been rightfully bitter about her divorce to Sam's workaholic distant father, and awkward living situations he kinda sorta put them into... he worked the farm with little recompense with his mom, his baby sister and their grandparents, two uncles... it was pretty tough! it helped make up a big chunk of his rough/closed-off personality, and, honestly, he's not grateful to it lol.

as it is now, he's in massive debt from college, and he really doesn't mind as he hopes to strike rich with one of his dozens of programming ideas. he really does think highly of himself and not so much others, but he'd be the last to admit that even if he was pestered endlessly about it.

of course when you get him coaxed out of his shell he is quite snarky and a little harsh, but he... he might mean well. maybe.
he was used to being called 'precocious' and 'wunderkind' for the better half of his life thus far and he's got a heavy tolerance for compliments, not so much for amicable jabs or criticisms. : p not that he believes either types of responses, he's just along for the ride until he can work out more of his computer mumbo-jumbo.

he tries to hide his southern accent by not talking at all, sometimes.... it's noticable to those who don't have one, at least, but if you asked him, he'd say he doesn't have one.
