Profile

Seemingly cool and reserved, Tulinia is a master at the art of letting people think they know her while keeping them at arm's length. Having been born and raised a scavenger, or "scav," on the junkyard planet Korlus, she privately has very low self-esteem and is afraid of her own shadow.

Scavs, making a living off, well, scavenging parts and scrap from wrecks and junkyards, are at the very bottom of the criminal food chain, and they know it all too well. Tulinia grew up learning to run and hide so thoroughly not even her friends could find her, sell anything to anyone, and take apart and put back together better than before any machine that crossed her path. Her parents had a slight edge on the competition, managing to get a chop shop set up and establish themselves as unofficial leaders in the local scav network, but it was all too easy for the local freelancers, mercenary bands, and, on rare occasions, mob enforcers to roll through and ruin everything, so they still had to watch their backs. As such, while Tulinia can swindle with the best of them and completely disassemble and reassemble an engine in under an hour if tested, she jumps at the slightest movement and carries no fewer than three big damn knives on her person at all times.

Things changed for Tuli one day when she caught scent of someone unfamiliar while scouting her parents' turf and ended up tracking them halfway through the Wastes. The unfamiliar person, she quickly learned, was legendary Special Tactics agent Saren Arterius -- and he had no idea she was there until she was almost on top of him. After a brief scuffle, it was established Tulinia meant him no harm, and he had no intention of stealing any of her family's loot. Impressed by her tracking abilities, Saren offered to put in a word for her with the Council for Spectre training herself, as anybody who could follow himĀ without being detected was certainly someone they would have interest in. Assuming the Council would never in a million years spring for a worthless scav like herself, she agreed, only to be greatly surprised when, a few weeks later, she received a formal invitation to the Citadel for assessment. After much deliberation, she accepted, deciding that if she did manage to make it, she could use the money to potentially get her family off Korlus.
