Morgané

Morgané is a colt in line to be the crowned prince of a small yet powerful kingdom of Areques. While the Areques race are known to be knights who pledge unconditional allegiance to the humans, his kingdom thinks otherwise. For generations Morgané's family detested humans and refuse the idea of being subjugated by an incompetent and inferior race; they aspire to be a prime example of how their kind is far more superior than humans in every way. Thus they are often put at war against humans and other Areques families who disagree with their perspective and way of life. Despite being a small kingdom, what kept their enemies at bay were their unmatched knights as well as their wise king who leads them.

While Morgané knows of the burden he has to bear for his people and his family, he sometimes cannot help but wish to have been born normal. And while he hasn't become an adult yet, he'll try to have fun while he still can.

Morgané's fiance and childhood friend. Calliope is the daughter of a powerful noble family who decided to join forces with the La Croix, as they share a similar sentiment towards humans. Callie has always been a rather soft-spoken and kind girl that Morgané has known for years, and because she has such a sweet disposition he didn't mind that they were arranged to be wedded someday. Despite his flippant and playful attitude towards her, he considers her as one of the most precious persons to him.

Calliope's bodyguard and Morgané's childhood friend. Since he never leaves Calliope's side, Morgané naturally treated him as a friend as well since they grew up together. Because of his rather recluse attitude and seeing himself simply as a lowly guard, Morgané had to make an effort to get close to him and make him acknowledge their friendship. It became Morgané's life mission to make the guy laugh because he looks so serious all the time. They often spar together to sharpen their skills in combat.

Foschia is a colt from another kingdom, and Morgané's childhood friend and "casual" rival. He met him by chance years ago while sneaking out for a late night's adventure in the forest past the border. Given their penchant for fun and games it didn't take long for them to become friends. They got along quite quickly because of a lot of things they had in common, but the only thing Morgané strongly disagrees with is Foschia's love for humans. Morgané hopes to change his mind one day and make him give up his fealty to his human master.
