A local legend of the regions bordering Voronye goes as follows: A lonely farmer lived far from the city, and far enough from Voronye that he was safe from the ghastly apparitions conjured by the forest's cruel god. Or, at least he thought he was. Dusk after dusk, at the same time every time, he heard the raspy calls of a family of ravens. Black wings blotted out the sky, a frighteningly unusual display. The farmer stood behind to watch, narrowing his eyes at a patch of wheat. Surely enough, something was moving fast. A flash of black and brown, but something totally unlike a raven or a boar. Before it got any darker, he turned back to the safety o his home.

This continued for weeks, until the farmer's curiousity won over is fear. Armed with a pitchfork, he trudged towards the figure in the wheat, creeping closer, and closer, stopping only when he heard whatever it was approaching him quickly. Losing his nevre, he turned to run. Tripping over himself after only a brief moment, he turned his head to see what beast was about to seal his fate..well, it was a little puppy. Carrying a comb of honey in its mouth. Relieved by this, the farmer quickly understood the situation. The ravens were protecting this little pup. It didn't seem to have any parents. Taking pity on it he took it in.
