Personality

Traits- Loud, obnoxious, childish, friendly, outgoing, generous, slob, arrogant, ignorant.

America is a very loud and fun-loving dog. He's outgoing and has no problem introducing himself to everyone he makes eye contact with. He loves meeting new people and hops on any opportunity he can to have a conversation with someone new. Although he considers many people his friends he isn't that close with any of them. He has friends to have fun and doesn't want to open up to them about his struggles or deeper feelings. At a certain point in a friendship with him you'll hit a wall that you can't break down. He has an overall optimistic view on life. Twisting negatives into positives is something he's really good at although it can be inappropriate at time without him realizing. Despite being cheery he does have a short temper when it comes to certain things, but he can usually bounce back fairly quickly and turn the situation into a joke. Even though he considers himself friendly there are many countries that find him or his behavior to be rude and malicious. Most of this stems from his reaction to different cultures. He's overall amazed by other cultures and truly wants to learn more about it, but he ends up asking disrespectful questions or reacting in an over-dramatic, rude way. He likes being himself and doesn't want to act differently because someone might be offended by his actions. Most of his peers describe him as childish. Which is true he's a child in an adult body. He gets excited over every small thing and rarely takes things seriously or acts professional. Overall he's a friendly dog but you have to be in the mood to deal with him and enjoy his company. 

Appearance

America is a mutt. Mostly a mix of American Pit Bull and Labrador Retriever, although he does have some features from Golden Retrievers and Foxhound Terriers. The first thing most individuals notice about him is that he is overweight. He has been heavy his whole life and doesn't make too much of an effort to do anything about it. It doesn't bother him at all. As for height, he stands at 6'3" (190.5 cm) which puts him in the "large dog" category, usually towering over most of his peers. He is mostly a tannish-yellow with a white muzzle, chest, and paws along with brown on his ears, spine, and tail. He has a short-medium length tail. His fur is short all throughout his body except his head. The fur on his head is a medium length and messy. He also has one flopped-over ear that he has limited control over, the other one he can move as he wishes.

His fashion sense is all over the place. His main outfit is a plain red shirt with a blue and white letterman jacket. The jacket has an American flag patch on the front and a big "USA" patch on the back. He usually matches this with dark gray/black jeans and red sneakers. Other than his main outfit he usually wears black suits with an American tie at professional events, but the rest of the time he's a fashion disaster. There's no rhyme or reason to anything else he wears. He wears work-out clothes when he's relaxing, pajamas to run errands, jackets in hot weather, jeans to bed- he just doesn't care.

Relationships

England is a father figure to America, he raised America as a child. Although they've had a rocky relationship throughout America's life, in present day they get along fairly well. America enjoys annoying England and they often act more as friends than as father and son. Out of everyone, England is probably the one America loves and trusts the most. America knows very well that he's the favorite out of everyone England raised and wastes no time taking advantage of that. He knows he can annoy and tease England all he wants and England will still love him. 

Canada is America's relative. America considers him his best friend and loves spending time with him. Canada easily gets annoyed by America but masks it pretty well. However, once in a while he lets it slip through and him and America go into a classic brother vs brother argument. They don't have these arguments often and can recover from it pretty quickly, sometimes in the same hour. At the end of the day they still like each other. America and their other siblings also enjoy teasing Canada and painting him as an evil, violent, bigot. They just find it funny and the awkward reaction Canada gives when they do it makes them laugh harder. 

Australia is America's relative, although they act just like brothers would. They get along really well and when they are put together it is chaos. They love each other but show their love by teasing and picking fights. They argue about random stuff they know doesn't matter just for fun. They don't take it seriously they just want to be loud.

Mexico America and Mexico have a history of violence towards each other and in present day they still can't decide whether they like each other or not. America easily gets annoyed by Mexico and just wants to be left alone most of the time. They are capable of getting along and sometimes they do. But overall when they hang out they act passive aggressively toward each other.

Russia and America have a very interesting relationship. They were awkward friends before the cold war but once that happened they started to become sworn enemies and hated each others guts. In present day cold war tension still leaks through, America really just doesn't trust Russia and enjoys being an asshole towards him. But despite that they are still becoming more tolerable toward each other and working their way to actually becoming friends, though they still have a long way to go.

Sweden and America have weird relationship. America likes him a lot and finds his culture interesting. That doesn't translate too well to Sweden though. America is a little too pushy and comes off as an aggressive flirt to him which makes their relationship awkward. However, America fails to notice this.

North Korea and America really don't like each other. They just can't be in the same room together and have to watch their words in the rare moments they interact. America just wants to know what he's up to constantly. 

South Korea is a good friend of America. They get along very well and enjoy each others company. South Korea always likes Americas twitter and Instagram posts seconds after he makes them which always strikes up a conversation between them. America also thinks Korean food and culture is cool so he's always excited to visit.

Philippines makes America feel like a king. The Philippines really looks up to him and America loves that feeling. America visits him often and they have a blast when they're together. 

Trivia

● America is the only Country Dog that cannot understand every language spoken to him. All other countries can understand different languages spoken to them from another country which makes communication easier. It's unknown why America doesn't possess this power and there are several theories and assumptions of why. However, most countries assume he's faking it.

● Doesn't like strangers touching him or entering his personal bubble. He can be touchy when he's with friends or people he knows well but he just doesn't want random people to be too close to him. It may be normal in other countries to brush up against people by accident but in the US its incredibly rude to bump shoulders.

● Really good at multitasking. He can get his work done fairly quickly that way. Despite being seen as lazy he does enjoy working, he just finishes his work fast so he has more time to relax. There may be spelling/grammar errors in his reports and written speeches but no amount of proofreading is going to fix that.

● Eats like shit. He doesn't know how to cook too well and doesn't have time to learn so he often goes out to eat, mostly to fast food places. He also eats a ton of snacks to keep himself full. He really doesn't like feeling hungry. He may make excuses and say he doesn't have time to learn to cook but he simply just doesn't want to. He's perfectly happy eating trash. 

● Loves drama. Just wants to know everything about everyone. He gets involved in things he really shouldn't just because he wants to add fuel to the fire. 

●Enjoys watching sports. His favorites are baseball and American football. He enjoys playing catch once in a while but other than that he doesn't care for participating in these sports. Just watching them on TV is fine enough.
