Raised in the small religious village of a mountain gorge, Lily "of the Valley" (as he would later come to be known) was born to a Corellon priest and a seamstress.

Given the child's name Khyssoun and carrying on his father's surname Lalaithlote, the infant's prominent and respected parents showered their precious child with lavish trinkets and immeasurable luxuries. His mother in particular enjoyed dressing the boy up in fanciful outfits.

At the young age of 20, barely a child, Lily was thrust headlong into his father's religious lifestyle and forced into singing for the Corellon Charity Choir; a company of young elves influenced by the teachings and studies of Corellon Larethian, their creator and protector. Much of his time was spent in the church participating in religious activities, teachings, and chores on his father's behalf. This of course was no small contributor to his slowly growing disdain; both for the worship of, and for Corellon himself. As Lily grew he became much more interested in Corellon's bitter rival -- the chaotic orc god Gruumsh -- and tailored his studies to elven patron's interactions with the wild deity of war and tempest.

Despite a remaining love for playing dress-up, as Lily reached 50 it became ever apparent that the young elf was interested neither in religious studies nor tailoring... shirking his church duties in favor of chasing deer, rabbits, and other children through town wearing his mother's best gown and wielding a large stick.

Needless to say, his parents grew concerned.

Still, Lily's mother and father loved him deeply. They did their best to embrace his eccentric interests, recruiting a swordmaster to train their beloved child in the classical elven art of the longsword.

Lily quickly grew fond of the blade, but could never master it with the swiftness, precision, and finesse his mentor pressed for. Instead he preferred to swing wildly, hacking and slashing viciously at the combat dummies... and occasionally at his mentor.

As the young elf came into his own, he slipped further and further from the secluded village's elven ideals of family, prosperity, and unity. He struggled to engage with schoolmates and did poorly in his formal studies. Despite being an avid crossdresser with a slew of unusual interests, Lily was generally regarded as handsome by other elves his age, but failed to form any lasting bonds or fondness, due in part to his crude demeanor and distaste for just about everyone. Instead, finding the idea of warcries and bloodshed much more pleasurable than that of elves, he never concerned himself with romance or intimacy. Over the course of his late adolescence, Lily engaged in just two brief, stale, and exhaustively empty sexual encounters; both with female elves from his village, and both deeply dissatisfying.

As time went on Lily exhibited broadening tendencies toward violence. Growing ever anxious about their son's love of demolition and dangerous inattention to his instructor's lessons (not to mention the disappearance of several neighborhood pets), his distressed parents decided it was time to put an end to his swordsmanship studies.

The news was not well-received.

At the youthful age of 80, even before deigned to participate in his rite of passage or select his adult name, Lily packed up his longsword and left.

He had a dream... a dream of blood, guts, and gore. He had heard tales of mighty orc tribes overtaking villages; pillaging, murdering, and wreaking general havoc. Inspired, Lily taught himself Orc, and eventually traded his longsword for a much more applicable and indomitable weapon: the greataxe.

Introducing himself as Lalaithlote Tulo'Orodtum, Laughing Flower from the Mountain Valley, he quickly became known in the Common tongue as Lily of the Valley, a moniker that beautifully compliments his stylish choice of dress and femininity, yet juxtaposes his dangerous and unwieldy nature.

Nearly 40 years after leaving his hometown and now at the (barely) adult age of 120, Lily continues to play dress-up, and remains a wandering force to be reckoned with.
