Cecil is a pop idol riding on a wave of popularity due to their unique performances created by their illusion magic. Most of their content started out on YouTube, where they continue to perform, but they also hold live performances now that their name is out there.

They're somewhat self-centered and rude, and they act very childish despite their age. As a tentakitsune, they often are criticized since the expectation is eldritch horrors would probably have some sort of common sense.

They have very few memories of their younger years, but have heard stories of tentakitsunes becoming experiments which kind of scares them. They're pretty sure they were born naturally but with the missing spots in their memory they aren't completely positive. Being a tentakitsune has never caused them too much grief as a performer, especially since they started online. Many people are afraid of them or consider them a sham because of their magic while their fans just see it as a part of the performance. They never show their human disguise while performing, and instead use it to remain incognito while out and about.

Because of their missing memories, they don't know too much about their powers and their abilities often go haywire. Transforming is often a hit or miss that may end them up in their octo or fox forms which isn't great when they need to switch on the fly. The only powers they've really mastered are their illusions so more often than they probably should risk it, they disguise with those instead.

• When they get really focused on something occasionally they light things on fire. 
• They often accidentally slip into people's dreams and have to awkwardly sit in the corner.
• Sometimes their regeneration doesn't kick in immediately and they just stare at their wound disappointed until it starts doing its thing.
• Unless they're in a really bad rush, are in danger, or it happens multiple times a day, they're actually pretty chill about their wonky powers. They take it as a prank on themself and find it more funny than anything.
• Mysteriously, the mishaps from their abilities not working correctly have never affected anyone else negatively. The only person that's had to deal with any sort of backlash from them is Cecil.

Money

They are 110% in it for the money and attention. They love having cash and not having to worry about life and they love spending it on shit they may or may not use.

Pranks

They've gotten blacklisted for a few people because of their mischievous tendencies during situations that weren't taken too well. Most people find their pranks hilarious since they aren't done to harm. Others have a stick up their ass.

Performing

They enjoy being flamboyant and putting on a show for others. Part of the reason they're so popular is that everyone can feel how much fun they're having.

Sharing the Spotlight

They firmly believe it's an honor to sing with them so they will straight up refuse to perform with anyone they don't already respect. They've pissed off many an idol by turning them down and then immediately signing on a complete newcomer to do a duo. Their ideals for respect are eccentric and few understand, but every person they sing with has been phenomenal.

Fakes

They may be in it for money, but they aren't fake about it. They still enjoy what they're doing so when they see someone else be fake about it or pretend certain things for the job it pisses them off. Honesty is incredibly important to Cecil, even when the truth hurts.
