A quiet and slightly world-weary man who just wants to get on with his job. Lewis is hardworking in the sense that he'll do any work he's asked to do, and won't rest until it's done, but that doesn't mean he never complains. Working two jobs, one of which is very dangerous, usually leaves him longing for his bed. He's a pessimistic person and considers himself unlucky because things in his life seem to regularly go wrong.

He has a sense of justice and wants to do what's right - even if he isn't always sure what the 'right' option is. Regardless, he's known for lacking mindless prejudice towards the supernatural. Though he appears meek, Lewis is capable of snapping both verbally and physically. He can be very brave, even self-sacrificing, despite his tendency to panic in dire situations. Deep down, maybe he just wants to be a hero and save the world from evil... but he's too old and jaded to give that much thought.

Lewis is a follower, not a leader, but hates being bossed around by anyone who hasn't earned his respect. A dislike of crowds coupled with foot-in-mouth syndrome tends to leave him staying out of the limelight. However, he enjoys the company of his friends.

Sandra

Lewis's boss. They develop a tentative friendship after a few years of working together, and nowadays are very loyal to each other. They are close, but somewhat reserved around each other, as neither are particularly sociable nor openly emotional. In the distant future, they become a couple.

Truman

One of Lewis's colleagues in the hunter organisation. They aren't quite friends, but get along well.

Joyce

Lewis's ex-wife. They were married for four years and parted mutually after deciding that they couldn't give each other what they wanted. He sometimes still wonders if they made the wrong decision.
