Trivia
- Lisza is very much not a morning person. She would often sleep in, much to the annoyance of her grandfather.
- Butterscotch is her favorite snack. Her room smells like freshly made butterscotch cubes.
- She prefers doing her job at night, since she knows people would rather look forward to sunny days. She uses her magic to be able to see at night, so she has some sort of a night-vision.
- Lisza only wears her witch outfit when she goes out. At home, she is always seen with messy hair and sleeping clothes. Her casual wear consists of oversized hoodies/sweaters and sweatpants/leggings.
- She earns a bit of money by providing fog for concerts that need fog machines. She says it's "fun and exciting seeing it appear onstage".
- Has a pet frog named Laka and often talks to him while working. Sometimes also brings Laka while she does her job, since she knows Laka enjoys the cool weather.
- Name origin- A variation of "Lisa", a name which I liked
Design Notes
- Her theme color is navy blue
- Please don't whitewash her. She has dark/brown skin, it's shown in her current reference so don't colorpick from the old pictures where she has a lighter skintone.
- Favors floating instead of walking when she feels lazy and/or sleepy.
- She has very messy hair, like a bedhead. It looks very fluffy as a result.
- The ring of clouds around her shoulders and hat are a physical manifesation of her magic. It glows & becomes thicker when she uses her powers and is barely visible when she isn't doing anything (like relaxing or sleeping).

Personality

"Zzz... Five more minutes please..."
Known as the Rain or Fog Witch around her area, Lisza’s main job is to provide rainfall to places near her. Although often trying to avoid her responsibilities, Lisza tends to rather laze around and sleep than do her job. Her grandfather often scolds her for this, but she pays him no mind and continues doing things at her own pace.
While she does neglect her responsibilities most of the time, she does love her job a whole lot. Rainy days and gloomy weather bring her joy. Being a descendant of water magic specialists, she feels more at ease in places with bodies of water nearby or cool areas, and she cannot stand the heat.
When it comes to magic, it is no question that Lisza has great talent and potential. Her relatives and people who know her role may even call her a prodigy. She has always been told this since she was little, and it is not false—Lisza can perform spells and do magic with ease. Although because of this, it has led her to think that she can do anything at any time which means she does not need to do her responsibilities on time. Doing things quickly and easily means she has more free time and she spends most of that time sleeping or doing whatever she feels like doing at home.
Living in an isolated forest area means Lisza has little to no friends. Her common friends include the animals living in the forest as well as her best friend/frog companion, Laka. Because of this, she often has a hard time communicating with other people her age and usually comes across as awkward. She is not opposed to making more friends—she would love to have more actually—she is just not the type to start conversations with other people. Those who try to commune with her are usually met with nervous stutters and fidgeting. She also has a hard time continuing conversation, as small talk is not her thing.
Looking past her nervous disposition, Lisza is an incredibly gentle and even playful girl. While doing her job alone, she may be seen listening to music, even dancing and singing along. Animals are drawn to her singing and dancing and sometimes even join in. She tends to talk to herself or the animals, pretending to be in some kind of play or musical. Lisza would never show this side of her to other people though, as she is incredibly embarrassed about it.
Story
Lisza's father and mother come from a distant land, where crops and forests were abundant due to the humid weather which Lisza's grandfather was responsible for. Lisza's grandfather was the Storm Wizard, the wizard in charge of the land's rainfall to ensure that all nature there was given enough amount of water and thus, providing the people with food and other resources.
Lisza's father was supposed to be the next Storm Wizard, but he politely refused that position so he could live a comfortable life with his wife and only having the responsibility of a husband and a father.
The Storm Wizard was fairly disappointed with his son's choice to refuse the position, but he let him be. However, the Storm Wizard had only one condition for his son before he left- his first-born child would be the the inheritor of his position and he had to leave his child with him after the child's 3rd birthday.
Saddened by the fact that he knew that his child would have to leave him and his wife after 3 years, he agreed. After a year of moving to a different land and settling down, Lisza's father was finally blessed with a child. He knew that his daughter would have to leave after 3 years, so he treasured every moment spent with his daughter until finally, he had to leave Lisza with his father as he promised 4 years ago.
The Storm Wizard told his son not to worry, because he would take good care of Lisza. Before leaving for a very long time, Lisza's father gave her a necklace, in which contained a very special potion. The potion contained a rare herb, which comforts the holder when they are feeling sad or stressed. The necklace was in a shape of a raindrop and Lisza wears it to this day, hidden where no one can see it.

Lisza is currently a Storm Wizard in training. For now, she would just like to be called a Rain or Fog Witch because that is what she likes to make with her magic. She doesn't really take her future role seriously and she would just like to have fun with her magic since she has the freedom to. Her specialty is water and healing magic.
Since her grandfather is of old age, she sometimes helps him with his spells to make it rain on the land. She usually lets him do it by himself though, because of her laziness. This very much annoys her grandfather, but he lets it slip because he knows and trusts that Lisza will become a great witch with great powers someday. He sees that Lisza has a lot of potential to do many other things. It is only her lack of interest and her laziness that is getting in the way.
Relationships
Jaime Wintye | good friend
"Jaime she's... she's really nice. She asks to hang out sometimes in the city when I'm not too tired and busy. I really appreciate someone as cool as her taking the time to spend it with someone as dull as me."
Lisza is initially wary of Jaime because of her "cool" aura and the fact that Jaime is really strong, while she's really weak. Overtime, the two become closer and better friends, though Lisza still feels bad that someone as cool as Jaime would spend time with someone as boring as her. She still enjoys Jaime’s company as she often makes her laugh with her jokes and stories.
Dioe | good friend
"Dioe's a good friend! Well... the one I'm closest to at least. All my potions and spells are from them, in fact. Though we don't see each other much because of duties we talk a fair amount through text."
Dioe’s shop is the closest source of potions she has near her place, so she often visits them. She finds them pretty cool and is surprised by the fact that Dioe is easy to talk to. She is also thankful for the fact that Dioe makes an effort to pass by her town to provide whatever she needs, as well as check up on her in person (also because Lisza sleeps through most of Dioe’s texts to her).
Celeuxe Reivine | acquaintance
"I reaaally don't want to get in Celeuxe's way... I've heard the stories about her..."
Lisza knows what Celeuxe is capable of and is a bit fearful of them. She gets nervous whenever she has to approach Celeuxe and always finds a way to end the conversation early so she could run away. Dioe and Jaime reassure her that Celeuxe would never lay a finger on her, but it would take a while for Lisza to fully warm up to Celeuxe. Although from afar, Lisza definitely thinks Celeuxe is a cool person, much like Jaime.
Mihan | childhood friend
"Ah, Kuya Mihan's still practicing magic tricks isn't he? Good for him I guess... have I told you about the time he made Laka disappear for a moment while doing one of his tricks when we were younger? I got so upset I cried! He panicked and gave him back immediately after though..."
Lisza may be considered Mihan's childhood friend, as their families have known each other for a long time for weather related reasons.
The two seldomly met as children so they were initially not that close. During the times they would meet though, Mihan would always try to talk to Lisza though she would usually just be hiding behind her grandfather (she's just shy). The two would continue to see each other as they grew up and with them being the only ones close in age in their families, they got to know each other more.
Despite not being related, the two treat each other like cousins. They occasionally play video games together when Mihan's family visits Lisza's place.
