Hecate

"Madam you are the light before the gate... " ... Hecate smiles warmly at the demon.

Hecate was a witch that dabbled in everything living and dead. She is in between both worlds and patrols the boundary between life and death. She owns the ultimate skeleton key and can open up other doors to other dimensions and worlds beyond our knowledge. She bares witness to everything that happens in the world and is looked up to by all in the spiritual realm. She favors women and loves to protect them in their time of need. She also helps children. Souls that are ready to pass tend to have dreams or visions about her. She eats women and children's souls because she views them as hers. She lives in a mansion on an estate in purgatory. Purgatory looks and has the same properties as the Real world, but if something happens in Purgatory it will happen in the Real world. Example: You pick up and drop a pot in Purgatory, but in the real world the pot just falls as if no one is there. Hecate travels so often between realms over the millennia she became infected with a parasitic demon. She now has a hole in her chest where the demon can come and go as it pleases. Hecate also takes care of Cerberus and all the hell-hounds in Purgatory. She has a soft spot for creatures of the night as well. Though she has a tendency to leave the room feeling much colder than when she entered.
