Background:
Middle class with a divorced mother and a father that prefers to go out and be on his own doing who knows what. He claims to be an archaeologist but with varying ‘qualifications’.
His children live at home, in a medium sized house that’s been passed down throughout the family and has seen better days. It’s stuffed full of all sorts of heirlooms and junk that probably should’ve been thrown out a century ago.
They have a yard where Eli pretty much lives in a shoddy tree-house his dad and him started on at one point, but his dad eventually left before they did and Eli and Aja ended up finishing it instead.
They have a babysitter that occasionally comes by, although she’s not as great as she should be considering she forgets to buy groceries for the kids sometimes.
More or less the kids live on their own, walking themselves to school and eating whatever they can find. (which usually ends up being takeout)
This has left the siblings more or less a bit close, even though Eli prefer’s to live out in his tree-house under his ‘aluminum roof’ where ‘it’s safe from aliens and spies’.
