• Royal Seed gene: healing factor | Although Ereym isn't immortal, he certainly is extremely durable and resistant to injuries that would otherwise incapacitate someone. Their cells also regenerate faster and more frequently. • Royal Seed gene: static | Like most Eulom, Ereym has featherstalks attached to his head. But unlike most, the material conducts a high amount of static electricity. The electricity absorbed accumulates in organs in his mandible, which can be released in an energy ball by opening his mouth and applying pressure to the glands. | • Neoknight is a double-entendre and can be read in two ways: Neon knight and Neo knight. Although the inspiration was related to his neon markings, both readings are correct and what he intended for his nickname. • Has a bad habit of carrying people without asking, even if they're not sick or injured. |
HISTORY Despite being a part of a royal alien bloodline, Ereym wasn't born into affluence, wealth or power. Like most folks of his species, they lived a relatively humble and minimalistic life on Terra Zenso with a heavy focus on family, community and self-expression. His social cluster, mostly consisting of Eulom closely related to him, were aware of his birthright responsibility and helped him grow into a responsible, selfless individual. Unfortunately, being a royal (or a "seed" as they're referred to in the culture) meant they faced a lot of danger and peril to their life, even at a young age. They had to learn early and quickly how to defend themselves, and even training sometimes lead to brushes with death. All of these experiences led him to become hardened to trivial issues in life, but most importantly taught him the immense power of close bonds. Over time he became a shining example of their royal blood, a person folks could come to in crisis. Even after leaving the Eulom sanctuary to live in the main city he continued to behave like a selfless hero, even to individuals of other species. Over time he even began to be known as somewhat of a local superhero. It wasn't a title they ever wanted- they genuinely just like helping people- but eventually the role began to stick. It made sense to Ereym. Becoming a D.J. was completely by accident/happenstance. A popular M.C. had seen pictures of Ereym floating around and approached them, proposing that they act as their mascot for a night, standing on stage and posing, going around and making sure the crowdgoers were happy and entertained. Being as acquiescing as he is, Ereym agreed to the event and killed it. The crowd was so won over by him that his presence became commonplace. When they began asking their boss about mixing music, that sealed the deal. He was hooked, became obsessively fond of sound, and between his work as a local do-gooder he tutored himself privately. In the end when he decided on a D.J. alias for himself, he went with a nickname someone gave him once after fishing them out of a lake- the neon knight, on account of his glowing forehead markings. |
