Aconite Maikoa

Aconite Maikoa is not her real name. She hasn't used her real for awhile - having shed it like a snake shed it's skin. She calls herself Aconite Maikoa - queen of poisons as she tips deadly nightshade in the teacups of old women, chasing the lips of brandy mugs with hemlock of foolish, loud lords.

Aconite raised herself on the streets - whatever parents or siblings she had she doesn't remember. Hell, she barely remembers that. But she does remember the church. Where the sound of the chorus singing would be loud enough that she could cry. Here, she was raised - a prisoner, a pet for men who would pay the corrupted priest for use of the basement and connected tunnels for their nefarious schemes. Collared, chained up - Aconite would soon learn that holy things did not exist, that faith and hope were fake especially for people like her. Her only companion that was not scared was a demon as endentured as she was - chained up and mocked. His name was Aratron and when the men kicked in his face, tried to break his claws, she bandaged those wounds, fought back - a house cat trying to defend a dragon from a pack of wolves.
