although Sik is the biggest mess of a person you'll ever meet, he's still a great guy and will do what he feels is the right thing to help people. he has a soft spot for kids and will do his best to tone down his existence as a bad example when around them. Sik's overall goal in life is just like... to help people! anything from cheering up someone who's having a bad day, to fighting a villain one-on-one even if he knows he'll lose if it means he's going to at least do some good in the world.

 Backstory

Born on South Island, Sik is blissfully unaware of most of his family. As a side result, he has absolutely no idea that he's cousin to the one and only Sonic the Hedgehog, and when he does finally find out he has trouble believing it.  After all, he's just some random nobody without any powers or skills to his name asides from being able to do cool tricks on his EX Gear board "Omnitempus", and all of his attempts at heroism so far have landed him in trouble or near-death situations.

When Sik was 11, he and his younger sibling were passed off to his aunt for her to look after for a few years. This had the side-effect of putting Sik in the sights of King, a mean-spirited bully who had plans to found the next big hero team along the lines of Team Sonic. Initially King wrote Sik off as nothing to care about, but soon discovered that the younger hedgehog trailed behind him like a shadow and pretty much idolized him. When he formed Team Advance with Seven and Cedric, Sik practically begged to be a part of it; while King wasn't a huge fan of the idea, and saw Sik as potential dead weight, he agreed under pressure from the other two members and Sik swore that he wouldn't regret his decision.

As a member of Team Advance, Sik (going by "SK" at the time) desperately tried to impress everyone around him, especially King. He was the first to throw himself face-first into dangerous situations, put himself at risk, and overtax himself if it meant it would finally be the One Big Thing he had to do for King to like him. Instead he only cemented his role as being "the annoying one", especially when he couldn't match up to the others in skill and power (despite literally being a preteen). King's high standards started to grate on everyone, as well as the trouble he-- or Sik, trying to impress him-- would get everyone into, and it reached a breaking point when the older hedgehog's meddling with the Ark of the Cosmos nearly got the entire team killed. While it did deliver a hard shock to King, and was the main event that got him to reconsider how he was behaving, it was way too little way too late. Distressed at what happened, and struggling with the beginnings of an identity overhaul, Sik did the one thing that made sense to him to do: he bailed.

Sik didn't have much of a plan, but he was able to track down a friend from before, Tide, and fled to Station Square in hopes of starting over. Tide let him stay with her and her new girlfriend, Kara, with zero hesitation. Or, well, some hesitation, but as soon as Sik started explaining what happened Kara's protective instincts flared up and Tide couldn't find it in herself to turn Sik away. He was later able to get in contact with his father and older sibling again, but by then Tide and Kara had practically been raising him as a younger brother and the three of them were inseparable. Forming a team was second-nature, and Sik owns a huge chunk of who he is today to the other two members of Team Horizons.

Sik Finally Does a Thing

After Eggman took over the world, Sik and the rest of Team Horizons joined up with the Resistance to try and fight back. Armed with a Cube Wispon and Omnitempus, Sik finally felt like he had the opportunity to actually do something and make a change in the world; despite the numerous dangers, he threw himself into missions with wild abandon. Plus he got to finally fight side-by-side by his world-famous cousin, although they still utterly failed to recognize each other until Sonic finally learned his last name. He... also had a bit of a rough reunion with King, who had trouble seeing him as more than the annoying tag-along kid he'd been a couple years ago.

When Double was unavailable, Sik took up the mission to check out the abandoned base in Mystic Jungle and found the Phantom Ruby Prototype, aka the "Valtron", that Infinite had previously been equipped with before Eggman outfitted him with the real deal. Despite not really knowing how to use it, Sik was still able to survive several close encounters with Infinite, including during his attack on Haliberd City, but even that and his natural resilience didn't save him from losing a leg from the knee-down during a particularly nasty fight with the jackal. Tails was able to make him a prosthetic, and despite the protests of everyone around him Sik rejoined the fight with renewed vigor. Infinite hadn't exactly made it personal, but Sik always felt from the start like he had something to prove.

His last-second attempt to rescue Sonic and Double only led to him getting dragged into Nullspace along with them, however. Feeling utterly devastated at his repeated failures, Sik nearly gave up and felt like there was no way to escape. Thankfully, Sonic was there to drag him out of his depression, and the three of them combined their powers-- Sonic's speed, Double's boost, and Sik's Valtron-- to punch through back into reality. Now back to feeling invincible (and ignoring all evidence to the contrary), Sik was able to use the Valtron to continue to counter Infinite and be a general pain in the ass to Eggman's army.

This peaked during the final day. With the Resistance forced to split up, Sik-- with the rest of Team Horizons supporting him for as far as they could-- raced up the tower, knowing that if he failed this time then it would literally be the end of the world. Pushing both himself and the Valtron far beyond their limits, Sik was able to cancel out the Phantom Ruby and completely erase the threat of both the illusion army and the sun, only to pass out and drop out of the sky as the Valtron was destroyed. Double was able to rescue him in the nick of time, but Sik ended up being completely unconscious for the entire final battle.

After the Resistance was disbanded, Sik returned back to Station Square with Tide and Kara. He promised to stay in contact with Tails, who he'd grown close to over the course of the adventure, and then they end up dating or something i dunno. He also helps reform Wayne after he's rescued! Even though Wayne feels intensely guilty over Sik's injury, Sik sees him and Infinite as two separate people and doesn't hold it against him.

 Hobbies & the Like

His hobbies are pretty varied! Sik is a writer in his spare time, and hopes to someday complete NaNoWriMo without losing confidence a few chapters in. He's also a budding artist, but sees his sketches and doodles as "dumb" and is reluctant to share them except with his roommates. Kara taught him the basics of parkour, and so now he's an amateur traceur; that's the main source of his troublemaking, seeing as people don't take too kindly to hedgehogs scaling lampposts in the centre of town and getting stuck in strange places 20+ feet up off the ground. He really sucks at it, but he has fun!

Sik is also a beast at videogames, or at least he considers himself one. He's actually mediocre at most, but his outside-the-box thinking makes his attempts at puzzle games interesting and he has surprising skill with fast-paced gameplay. Sik's got a competitive streak to match Kara's, and while he doesn't ragequit as often as she does he still has to spend some time afterwards cooling off from Sheer Fury. His favourite Pokemon is Sky Forme Shaymin.

When it comes to food, Sik isn't picky at all. He lives off fast food and delivery pizza, as well as ramen and microwaved dinners-- he just doesn't have the attention span for involved cooking, and leaves it up to Kara (who is a far better chef than Sik and Tide combined anyhow). His top favourite is definitely stuffed crust pizza! Pretty much anything sweet-- ice cream, chocolate, etc-- is a comfort food; if he's eating a lot of it, especially in a single sitting, he's probably torn up over something and trying to bury it. Tide's gotten quick at picking up on that cue.

Sik loves the colour green, but is a fan of anything bright and eye-catching. He wears a lot of cotton tees and baggy shorts that have at least a few pockets, and has a binder he wears underneath his shirts if he's feeling dysphoric. Most of the time he doesn't wear it, but dysphoria's a bitch and all. Loose, soft clothing is his favourite, and anything he feels is too constricting or feels too much like nylon is SENSORY HELL and he won't go near it ever. His scarf is the most vital thing to him in the whole world and he'll fistfight anyone that tries to take it away from him.
