He runs alongside the mob-- has their favor-- so naturally he wins more than he loses, achieves much, and wants for not.
Appearance
- Jack is often under-dressed; he doesn't put much stock into fashion and he likes to stay comfortable. He doesn't mind cleaning up when others put in the heavy lifting for him.
- His face's silhouette is fairly misshapen and bumpy. This is, naturally, due to his career... His nose juts and bumps out-- completely broken-- with knotted, hard scars.
- Eyes are nearing deep-lidded, his work having puffed up the fatty skin around them. Even still, he is fairly bright-eyed in appearance.
- Dark brown hair that looks close to black when slicked with product or sweat. It's kept short, and often Jack tries to comb it parted off-middle.
- Very tall (for his time), and fairly wide. Weight fluctuates in number but rarely shows on his stocky frame. Muscular, especially his legs. Looks 'firm', but not 'built'.
- Very hairy...!
Personality
- Boxing allows Jackie to work out his impulses that otherwise run rampant in his mind.
- He's naturally prone to letting out his anger instead of stewing in it-- arguing loud, pushing people around, even coming to blows.
- Not eloquent, nor does he attempt to be. Jack's known for mumbling, or speaking slurred/incoherently.
- He can be blunt when incensed, but otherwise very quiet when he's relaxed (unless in 'good company', then he just enjoys letting loose and partying).
- Impulsive even after working out his demons. Can get to the point of chasing after something without thinking about it, and finding the action (later) to be regretful.
- Open-hearted and open-minded, but it doesn't come easy to admit to. Deep down he has no qualms about how others live their life; he thinks of it as none of his business.
- ...But he can get a little hypocritical where his rivals and opponents are concerned. He will be the first to talk trash just to rile up someone, knowing he will likely win, whatever the stakes may be.
BIO
Jack was born and raised in Manhattan. His family kept their cultural ties insular within Little Italy from their immigration sometime in the 1900s... Jackie's father broke the mold and married a sweet Jewish girl-- things for the Fiore family finally became more lax and open. But with that change of status and tight-knight paranoia came the trouble they had been avoiding: mob dealings from both the Italian and Jewish gangs.
As Jackie grew up, he began to notice a change in his family's dealings. It wasn't until he was sent to reformatory school for causing public disruptions that he realized exactly what had happened-- his father was folded into the mob. it was unsettling, but out of Jack's control. He knew he could only take care of himself and avoid that lifestyle. However, the adolescent Jackie was promptly forgiven of his transgressions at the school, and sent back out without much of a fight.
Meanwhile, in his own personal business, it hadn't taken long for Jackie to sweep up through amateur boxing matches, ready-to-go at the young age of 18, and making through to professional matches by 20.
He is considered a fan-favorite to watch; capable of withstanding sluggers/bullies, and, when incensed, can take it out on others in the ring just as much as its given. But one has to wonder how much of it is due to the matches being set up here and there....
With his new line of work, it ain't pretty, but he feels more at peace when he wins a match, or is allowed to intimidate his opponents in and out of the ring, hype up press and attention for his successes or failures. Plus, it's made him pretty famous, and his family is awfully proud of him. He went from wanting to do anything in his power to fight against the unjust system his family fell to, to feeding into it, having given in to the satisfying ease of it all.

- His division is cruiserweight (junior heavyweight).
he constantly struggles to maintain at/below that weight cap. :p - He can only speak English. He knows a few Jewish phrases from his school years-- not from his family.
And despite growing up in a mostly Italian household, there was far too much going on outside of his home to fully imprint the language. - Due to his ...appetite, and open proclivities, most opponents and press try to use this 'dirt' against him. However, being so insulated by the mob has its benefits. Jackie often appears to have a carefree attitude about his own 'sinful' lifestyle, though he is often berated by close friends and family.
- Jack's father (and siblings) run more favor with the Italian mafia, but one of his sisters is married to a Jewish-American mobster; there is heavy sway for him personally, with them.
- Abuses the hell out of his position of fame and popularity with all manner of things. He has paid off two extra homes for his family alone on 'gifts' from all manner of people.
- Follows no religion, though he was raised Catholic.
As soon as he was able to afford his own place, he never went back to church (lolll)
