Kia Lybeck

Kia is 172cm or 5'7 tall and weighs 65kg or 143lbs. She has a typical low vibrance Westerner skin colour leaning to the darker side of the spectrum. Her body is heavy, muscle is dominant over fat. Her hair is brown and short on the left side of her head, and longer on the right side. She has brown eyes and light brown 15cm long horns that curve back near the end and forward near the tips. Her tail is absent, as the cutting of the tail is a mandatory ritual for every Guild member who stays to work in Kestane.

She doesn't have a traditionally feminine face. Her chin is diamond shaped, she has a long neck, and her nose is long, straight, and has a bit of a pointy end. Her brow's strong and her eyebrows are thick, which becomes especially apparent when she's frowning.

For clothes, she loves wearing what is convenient for a thief. She goes with a light brown shirt with rather poofy sleeves and a dark blue vest with bracers of the same colour. She wears light brown gloves underneath them and wears a green, long cloak over her shoulders. Under her belt, she has a couple of pieces of textile, under which pouches for money and sometimes stolen goods can be found. She has nearly white, thin trousers and knee-high brown boots.

Colour palette

Kia was raised in a poor family and discovered the thrill of stealing at the local marketplace. She loves to have money, jewelry and any other treasure to signify her wealth and to live in a state of comfort. Getting to live in a mansion is one of her big dreams, but due to her training having begun only later in her life and her debts with the Guild, she has yet to build up enough of a fortune to reach that goal. The huge debts she has to pay off made her slightly more greedy than she already was, the logic being that if they want to show they can be greedy, then so can she.

She can be social when in a friendly situation, but prefers to work alone or with one partner she knows well due to others potentially screwing up. Often does she feel like she is surrounded by idiots, which is ironic considering she regularly does stupid and embarrassing things herself she shouldn't be doing anymore after a training as a thief. She's on a high horse when it's about her determination, skill, and intelligence.

The girl is not a dumb person, she is both rather book and street smart. She knows her way around cities like no other and will be happy to lend this knowledge and skill to those who need it, be it to friends, colleagues, or those who pay. It's not rare for her to steal through luring people into a fake feeling of confidence, then making contracts or fake deals or giving out fake information and threatening them with the consequences later on.

Kia is somewhat of a practical type. She refuses to wear the Guild's outfit and chooses an attire that fits her instead. She'll easily ignore the rules, though she is cautious not to get caught in the process. She's not really a rebellious type, as she's completely okay with following most rules about missions and assassination, unless they're really strict, she sees no use in them, and there's no one around to check if she follows them.

When she first joined the Guild and met Olivier she learned that if there is competition, she'll gladly rise to the challenge of becoming the best. This was made even stronger when Olivier and her started having these sometimes unspoken challenges with each other to do certain things in their training first, like being the first to get the hang of a defensive technique, or being the one who aces a combat test with the highest score of them both. This competitive nature existed before the Guild, first with other competitors on the market, later with the thieves that inhabited the city she was stealing in at that time.

While she knows her way around money, Kia has no self control when it comes to spending. Before she joined the Guild, she could live off of the loot of three good months of theft for a year, but because of her spending habits the loot would only last for a few months instead. She mostly spends her money on food, drinks, and over the top luxurious inns. Even after joining the Guild and getting a huge debt, she still spends money she needs on excess.

❖ Even though she is a Guild assassin, she picks her own clothing style instead of wearing the mandatory outfit. She's had some trouble because of it, but decides to ignore the dress code nonetheless when no mission to kill is active. The uniform's a dead giveaway of Guild status to her anyway.

❖ She avoids assassination missions, mostly because she hates killing, partially because getting caught killing gets harsh punishment. Her most frequently chosen missions are missions where she has to steal things.

❖ She plays the flute to kill time. Sometimes to annoy people who, in turn, are annoying to her.
