DISCLAIMER: DO NOT READ BACKSTORY IF EASILY DISTURBED, AS IT DEALS WOTH MATURE TOPICS Sophie is a Vlixeon, a species of aquatic humanoid beings who commonly have the characteristics of two types of aquatic life. Sophie is an octopus combined with a shark. She has a dorsal fin on her back, shark teeth, a shark tail, and tentacles for hair. She lives in Urctin, a city where it constantly floods and rains manually, as it is inhabited almost entirely by Vlixeon, who need water to stay healthy, as they have both lungs and gills. Most gills appear on the face. Urctin is a genuinely fancy city. Although the red district is very prevolent and a lot of its income is from dirty money. Sophie lived most of her childhood years in the red district with her 7 sisters and mother. Sophie moved out at age 17 to live with her then boyfriend. After two years of living together they went through a rough breakup and Sophie was kicked out of his apartment. With too much pride and distaste for her mother and siblings having neglected her as the youngest daughter, she made the hasty decision to move in with a girl she had gotten drunk with the night before, Clarabella, a young lady with the characteristics of a clownfish and a sea dragon. Sophie spent a year doing odd jobs around the town and struggling to pay rent. Feeling sorry for her, Clarabella introduced Sophie to where she wasn’t getting her money, selling herself. Scared by the idea, it took Sophie another year of odd work to have her ask Clarabella for work. She then met Bullthroat, a bullfrog manatee kingpin and pimp. Sophie began working for Bullthroat with little pay but a steady income, and much to her dismay bullthroat took a liking to her. Clarabella and Sophie had made a plan that once they gained enough money, they would quit the industry and move to a lavish apartment together. One year after Sophie began work for Bullthroat, Clarabella failed to come home one night. Distraught about the disappearance of her friend (and quite possibly lover) she confronted Bullthroat. He tells Sophie he doesn’t know where she is, but Clarabella is found dead the next day from head trauma in a back alleyway. Sophie, absolutions distraught, returns to Bullthroat for answers, after a heated argument Bullthroat admits to accidentally beating Clarabella to death and dumping her body. In a fit of rage, Sophie bites into Bullthroats neck and kills him. It was only when Sophie was washing the blood from her face she realized what she had done. She takes the money the kingpin had on him and flees to a city outside of Urcin. The city is a slum-like district where convicts usually go to hide out. While laying low, Sophie runs into a group of women after she gets into a fight with some locals who tried to steal her bag. She is introduced to Mantis, the leader of the rogue group of women. Mantis introduces Sophie to the city, and reveals she used to be a housewife who killed her husband in a fit of rage. She now leads a group of girls she calls her “nunnery”. This group is made solely of women, who turned to a life of crime after running form the law. Seeing as Sophie fits clearly into this category, she joins the group, becoming known as Jaws, due to her past.
