Summary
Nori has always felt out of place due to her unique dragon attributes, in the orphanage she was raised in she was often avoided and feared despite her good nature. Nori is prone to damaging things by mistake, like with flames or her large claws. She knows little of her origin and is curious to know where she came from. She cares deeply for her sister, Mitsu. They have been orphans all their life and the two heavily depend on each other.
Abilities
She is able to shapeshift into a dragon at-will, however, is greatly ashamed of this form and only uses it in emergencies. She can breathe fire in both her forms.
Backstory (Paired with Mitsu)
The two were raised in a large orphanage, different from the rest of the children, they felt an instant connection and became close friends- even considering each other sisters. The caretakers were less than tolerate of the duo, as they began to grow, Mitsu discovered her magical talent, and as the rowdy child she was, she often used it for harm. Nori had uncontrollable shape-shifting surges, with a growing appetite for unusual things. Eventually, the two got unmanageable and the only option was to let them go to protect the safety of the other children. They were left homeless for a year until founded by a caretaker from a youth house specifically for magically gifted children like the two. They viewed this small guild called "Home for the Gifted" like a haven, being praised for what they had previously been shunned for, being taught to improve what they had previously been taught to hide. Little did they know the consequences of joining...
Nori's Origin
This section contains major spoilers for the Home for the Gifted story.
A significant part of Nori's character arc involves her discovering where she comes from, her parents, or what created her. She has felt alone her whole life because as far as she knows, there are no other half-beasts like her.
Further in the story, Nori discovers a secret community of half-beasts, or "Hybridkind" just like her. Each member of this village is unique, everyone hybrid with a different creature. However, none of them were born like that. The transformation was a choice they made. They were transformed by the mysterious leader of this hidden society, the Wizard. Many of these hybrids used to be Magickind that have fled from their lives as slaves. They just wanted to be free and live in nature, hidden away. The mysterious Wizard provided them with the power to shapeshift into their chosen animal, giving them key survival attributes. This allows them to live within the ecosystem, and remain hidden from Humankind.
Nori, however, was not raised in this community. She didn't even know it existed. None of them as powerful creatures as Nori, a dragon. They were rabbits, birds, even wolves, but no dragons. She was the only one born like this. She was made with the intention of protecting the Wizard's daughter, Mitsu. Due to unfortunate events, Mitsu and Nori were separated at a young age from their father, the Wizard.
