Giovanni's Links
While they are brothers, Giovanni doesn't care all that much for Diablo's well-being or safety. He often takes advantage of his brother, being well aware that he would do whatever it takes to keep his family safe, even Giovanni.
Diablo would put himself trough hell to keep Giovanni safe, even if it means his brother will take full advantage of him. He cares deeply for his brother and does his absolute best to keep him happy, healthy and safe.
He longs for her approval and affection and feels quite jealous of his younger brother. Some may argue that she is the reason he started his criminal empire in the first place, even if Giovanni would deny any such claims.
He views Alrenil as an asset, a pawn for him to control and use on a whim. He cares little for how the vampire feels and expects him to always be ready to serve him. Or face the consequences...
Alrenil despises Giovanni and everything he does after threatening him multiple times, nearly killing him three times and causing the death of his adopted daughter. He doesn't want anything to do with the Vamarris anymore, yet finds himself unable to get out of the chokehold he has.
If he were to leave, Giovanni would hunt him, his family and anyone he cares about. So for now he still does his oddjobs as a lawyer, as well as supplying his boss with plenty of keratin to feed on. It's all he can do right now.
He is actually quite annoyed by Nicita's frequent attempts to woo him. He has tried to make it obvious he is not interested in her, but she doesn't seem to want to hear it. Maybe he shoud use a more... persuasive methot to get her off his back.
She does her best to get on Giovanni's good side, maybe even eventually wrap him around her finger. Keket managed to get that big brute around her finger, so his little brother should be a cakewalk, right?
Business associate, he provides her with goods he needs to get rid of and she provides him with whatever she needs to get rid of. He is on neutral terms with her, for the most part. Pirates can't be trusted, but neither can mobsters.
She feels the business suit and tie prevent blood from reaching his head. He expects her to just be able to ship and get rid of whatever illegal items his organisation brings her. It is nice that he offers to buy whatever she can get her hands on though.
He has yet to see Sarin's actual worth. Being loyal as a dog can only get you so far if you are a liability to the rest of his organisation.
(employers) Never gonna step on his toes. He hollers; I jump! Best be on the right side of things when the SH hits the fan... and by right side, I mean Giovanni's side...
Giovanni had been hearing voices in his head before, however, finding out that they had a name really messed with him. He doesn't appreciate Tesei finding out all of his deepest secrets and inner thoughts. So he has taken to pay more attention to what bothers them and focus more on that, purely to spite the Skarrid and hopefully get them to leave him alone.
He does, deep down, feel some sort of comfort in knowing Tesei is there to listen to him, to offer him some form of support in bettering himself, even if he feels he himself is too far gone to become a better person. But he also strongly feels that they are invading his privacy with their mind reading bullshit.
---
Lately Tesei has become somewhat of an obsession to him. Wanting to know all that he can about them as he can not get them out of his mind and he HATES it. Everywhere he looks, everything he smells, it all reminds him of them. Some may claim that he fell in love with them, other may claim he is simply delusional and wants a way to take them down. But Giovanni has no idea which of these is true, all he knows is that he simply wants to.... touch them, just once, without having the prying eyes of the Hounds looking over his shoulders. He craves a place where he can just be Marcius, and strongly feels Tesei can provide that place.
Recently, between tending to council duties and mapping out action plans against the Hounds, Tesei's taken an interest in personally investigating the man that's been a thorn in their side for a while. Spying on him, to be precise. It'd been a cold and calculated affair - establishing a pathway between Giovanni's mind and their own, and listening in much like one would when intercepting a radio frequency. With the small difference that they were now privy to the mobster's innermost thoughts and vulnerabilities. Though when you hold more pity than hatred for a certain breed of people from the get-go, you don't interact with them with the intent to harm or destroy now, do you? So let's just say, Tesei was not surprised when the kingpin of the underground turned out to be not that much of a monster... Three millenia teaches you something about the psyche and rule number one goes as follows: Monsters don't exist. Angry, tired, broken men do.
P. S. They'd still curb stomp him into the ground if he ever endangered someone in their circle. Also he should smoke less and sleep more. And if he could please stop thinking about stabbing people, it's very uncouth...
Despite knowing he took advantage of her, she finds herself appreciating the ways that it helped her because, in her opinion, it had more benefits than consequences. She wishes he wouldn't ask her to do violent shit outside the ring, but knows better than to tell him no.
She’s seen him around when her papa is discussing properties, especially around the city of Sa’vel. She’s worried that he might do some secret loophole in the deal with her family, though so far, she doesn’t seem to feel it. The peace makes her feel uneasy, however.
