My grandson. He studies so hard but he insists on taking over the kimono shop. He doesn't have to. In this modern age, kimonos are for special occasions only. It's not easy to make a living like this, but his genuine fascination with the textiles and kimonos is admirable.
My grandma looks mean but she's so nice. She is super good at sewing and making tea. I've learned everything about kimonos from her, and I hope I can be as talented as she is someday.
Do what you want, Shoko. Don't worry about me and your son. I'll take care of him. I know it wasn't an easy decision to make. But I want you to know that I'm proud of you and I'll always be proud of you.
I'm sorry mom. I'm sorry I'm making you raise my son in my place. I just have so much to do here mom, and Goro and I can't stop working to take care of him! We've tied our best to take care of him but we couldn't make it work. So thank you for being so understanding. I love you mom.
