Description
Easy-going but very dependable, and is the type to keep promises no matter how impractical as long as it's within his ability.
He is a doctor traveling around the world on mission trips. While treating a tribe of indigenous people, he is given the chieftain's daughter's hand in marriage as a token of gratitude. The chieftain's daughter, however, is only 10 years old.
He is unable to properly reject their offer due to the language barrier, in addition to trying not to offend their local customs and traditions. Though the "marriage" between Dr. Renner and Jyenhia is not legally binding, he could not leave Jyenhia with her village: if the husband is dissatisfied with the marriage, is is customary to stone the wife to death.
Forced to bring Jyenhia back with him, he does his best to give her a good childhood and raises his young "wife" into an independent young woman.
