Remus ☆

Remus is quite nihilistic, having been born with a debilitating (to him) disability and being abandoned by his family. He has no real hope for life in general as every time he felt it had a chance to go his way, it went the opposite. He has become accustomed to expecting the worst possibility, and sometimes he's right. When he's not frustrated by the general existence of things (and himself) he is relatively apathetic. 

He enjoys having long discussions about things, and as frequently as he falls into bad moods, it doesn't take a lot to pull him out of them.

Remus was born into a family of Meowls that had a reputation for being the fastest flyers on the island. Remus potentially could have been the fastest out of his siblings...were it not for the fact the ligaments in his wings failed to form properly and as a result, rendered them nearly useless. 

While Remus could get by with gliding alongside his family and the occasional boost in altitude by thermals and his siblings grabbing him and pulling him up. As he grew up, he slowly began to become more of a burden to take care of. Helping him take off grew more troublesome as he became bigger and needed more than one person to help him get off the ground. 

Eventually, it became too much for his siblings to deal with - many of them wanted to go off on their own and deal with their own things rather than take care of Remus. They slowly began leaving him behind during outings or making excuses to not bring him along. Remus began to feel the distaste for his disability and it frustrated him immensely. All he wanted was to fly alongside those he considered his family. There was many a time he attempted to try strengthening the ligaments in his wings by jumping off cliffs and attempting to flap during gliding, but it almost never worked. His wings would just flop uselessly against the wind currents and always throw him off course entirely, if it didn't knock him out of the sky entirely. During one of these attempts is when he would become separated from his family.

His family was nowhere near as they had gone off to go hunting for that day's dinner, and Remus had taken off a few minutes after they had left in a foolish attempt to catch up them - as he was under the impression he had had enough practice. A sudden gust of wind shot his altitude up and almost entirely threw him off the course that would normally allow him to glide back into landing on the family island. A deep sense of panic filled him as he tried in vain to turn and get back on course. However, it was way out of his hands to really do anything. He was entirely at the mercy of the wind, that had absolutely none for him. Almost a couple miles out, the thermals gave way and Remus plummeted into the ocean. He helplessly tried fighting against the weight of his wings that dragged him down into the warm water.

Thankfully, he managed to wash up onto a sandbank soon after. As soon as he regained consciousness, he began to freak out at the concept of being entirely alone. He desperately called out in hope that someone would hear him, but no one replied. He had a small bit of hope in him that his family would come looking for him. The hours became days, the days became weeks, and the weeks became months,

The small island would become his new home

• He is very sour about his disability. Bringing it up is a sure method way to aggravate him immediately.
• He feels detached from his species identity and frequently prefers being by himself.

• 'Still likes seafood, however he prefers other people get it for him

• Being reminded of his family
• His disability.
• Contrary to his species, he absolutely hates water. Due to a sudden loss of an air thermal and no way to change his direction has lead to him almost drowning multiple times.
• Clothing, surprisingly. Years of living by himself on an island has lead him to being accustomed to not wearing anything - and he frankly prefers the freedom.
