Once the apprentice to a god by the name of Ulysses and then a god of his own right ruling over the planet Earth, Reid became stuck on his planet as an ordinary human after a funky accident caused him to lose all memory of his previous life. Reborn as a powerless human child, he paved his own path from a young age and entered an ordinary and accepting life for himself... but the older he grew, the odder the world around him began to appear. He seemed to understand complete strangers too keenly, and knew a questionably large amount about things he thought he'd never seen. As the world begins to crumble around him due to California's secession from the USA, these powers reveal themselves to him slowly but surely. Paired with pressure from family and peers, it may be too much for his meager form to handle...
Reid's got a hefty build; at 250 pounds and 5'6", most of his fat builds up in his midsection and thighs. He gives himself a tough time for not seeming masculine even though he has the most formidable beard anyone has seen. His skin has a warm tinge but is still rather pale because of how much time he spends inside... He doesn't make it a point to visit the gym, so his muscle mass is average, but when he's in his god form he gains strength.
As a human, his blood is the usual red color, but as a god it becomes his trademark moderate green color. Hair straight with a deep red color, eyebrows blond yet sharp, eyes a wonderful hazel. He's used to be self-conscious about his haircut, but when the secession hits he lets it grow long. Even after the main conflict ends, he chooses to leave it because it looks cool.
Reid has a difficult time reading other peoples' emotions. Some say this is one of his most distinct qualities. He's stubborn and apathetic most of the time, so he's likely to leave a negative impression on strangers. Ever-practical, he struggles giving others advice, especially since most of them wouldn't be able to relate to him at all. Despite this, when Reid is in his element, he makes for a strong leader and a reliable friend. Even when he screws up, he ultimately wants to emerge as a better person because of it. It's what has kept him his friends over the years.

Reid was originally brought to life as the shadow and assistant to the god Ulysses, and at this time he was given the name Reid McKinley ★ (RYQEKT). Working with Ulysses, he was taught the basics of worldbuilding. Ulysses preached to Reid the ideals of free will that he felt so strongly about in the creation of his own world. These ideals were carried through when Reid became a god and decided to give all citizens of his world complete free will and thought alongside his own shadow, SIMERULER. One day, as a break from work, Reid decided to live amonst the humans for a few short years alongside one of his god friends, Athelstan, leaving SIMERULER in charge. Unfortunately, in August 2003, Reid hit his head too hard and forgot everything about his life as a god. Unsure of what to do, Reid's soul and appearance was recycled into the body of a human child, and SIMERULER was given full control of the functions of the Earth until Reid's return.
Reid was reborn in 2003 in New Jersey, but soon afterward moved to the bay area of California. There, he met a nice boy named Dillon Zhang who eventually became his brother after Reid lost his father. Their family grew to include more adopted children such as Lee Gilje, the Norwegian immigrant whose parents died in a freak accident, and Zachary Xavier, an orphan with strange orange blood and abilities unlike any that have been seen before. The four brothers made their own family and did nearly everything together until California seceded from the US in 2030. Due to financial and governmental failure, things began to fall apart. The four bros. split up and didn't talk for a while as they all dealt with personal issues.
During this time, Reid lived alone with his best friend Lenny Solano ★, a childhood friend whom he had recently reconnected with. Reid worked as an architect for the governer of California herself. Between local issues and stress due to work, Reid discovered new things about himself that hinted towards his hidden status as a god. Eventually, he realized that a great evil was manifesting in his hometown and he struggled to deal with this, too. There came a point when all of the main cast reunited to take down the big baddie, and it was then that SIMERULER finally confronted Reid and explained to him the truth of his past. After training and trying to regain his memories to no avail, in the heat of battle SIME was able to get Reid's memories back. The villain was defeated and the god Reid had returned!
After that battle of Cardinal Fury, Reid resumed work as a god, but made sure to balance it with life on Earth. Lenny's adoptive son Ivan, Ilo, and Elo (Ivan Delgado (Cardinal Fury)) and his companions Ivan, Ilo, and Elo (Ilo) and Ivan, Ilo, and Elo (Elo) traveled between worlds to gain knowledge and restore peace across the universe. It was on one of these missions they attracted the attention of Magnus, the corrupt leader of an alien civilation, who decided to target Lenny to get back at the three after a conflict. Magnus, being a parasite, almost completely took over Lenny during this period. When Reid found out, he was horrified. Multiple times during this arc, Magnus' influence left Lenny in the hospital, which it did once more after Magnus was defeated. After these events, Reid greatly reconsidered his place in life and his ability as a friend to Lenny. He once more questioned the way he felt about him. This was the start of a an era of great change for Reid.
Next, Reid had to deal with issues regarding his relationship with SIMERULER. At first, SIME felt bitter because Reid had been balancing human and god life, but that wasn't the problem anymore. More recently, SIME had reflected on the twisted truth of their shared history, and the way Reid used to and still treated them angered them. SIMERULER went off the grid with Lee, Reid's brother, and Reid was the one leading the search party for the two. The search was led by frustration and anger, which was only fueled by his confusion and resulted in an increasing amount of violence. Reid hit his lowest point during this period. He was finally forced to realize his flaws and mistakes and had to muster the maturity to learn from them and grow as a result. It took a time and effort, but Reid properly apologized to SIME and their relationship set off on a better foot. Reid also learned to be more comfortable with how he viewed himself with Lenny.
At the end of Lenny's human lifetime, he decided to accept immortality and became a god alongside one of his closest friends, OTHERPOWER. Together, Reid, Lenny, SIME, and OTHER happily ran the Earth until Reid and Lenny peacefully accepted death together and left the next generation of godkind to their successors, SIMERULER and OTHERPOWER.

Friends
Lenny Solano ★: Reid's absolute BEST friend. They share almost everything with each other. They met in high school and after reconnecting again they've been nearly inseparable. Lenny is the only person Reid feels fully comfortable talking to these days.
SIMERULER: These two have a remarkably long history together. While SIME started out as Reid's simple assistant, over time they've proven to be powerful equals.
Dillon Zhang: Reid is closest to Dillon out of all his brothers. In the past they've bonded over their social inability and fears, but after Dillon passes away, Reid has to learn how to reach out to others for help.
Lee Gilje, Zachary Xavier: Two of Reid's three brothers, he's close with both of them, but for the longest time he still felt like they were more of friends rather than family. When the three of them are forced to reevaltuate their lives after the death of the fourth brother, they come to understand each other on a deeper level.
OTHERPOWER: In the past, Reid has worked rather closely with OTHERPOWER on godly affairs. After his experience living on Earth for a while, they become more familiar with each other than they were before.
Benjamin Dallas ★: They got in some heated squabbles over Lee during the early years of the Californian secession, but have otherwise turned out to be reasonably stable friends.
Jeffery Mendoza ★ They didn't know each other very well at first, but after Dillon requested that the two become better friends as one of his final wishes, they've come to discover that they're not as different as they had expected.
Family
Ivan, Ilo, and Elo (Ivan Delgado (Cardinal Fury)): After the Battle of Cardinal Fury, a boy who was once a family friend of Lenny's became a son between the two of them. While he was already old enough to care for himself, the relationship itself is what was most important.
Calvin McKinley-Solano: Calvin is Reid and Lenny's only biological son. He followed in similar footsteps as Reid himself, but later grew to resent him due to the way that Reid had absentmindedly sheltered him his entire life.
Vanessa and Zhi Zhang: Reid's adoptive parents. He had more time to grow attached to them than Lee and Zachary did. Even so, Reid doesn't see them very often since they moved to Hong Kong.
Sugar and Musser Zhang: Two of Reid's adoptive siblings. Sugar died young and Musser disappeared after running away from home. After their loss, Dillon was the only biological Zhang child left.
John and Adina McKinley: Reid's biological parents on Earth. They were both drug addicts and alcoholics, and while John spent lots of time with Reid, Adina despised her son.
Rebecca McKinley: Reid's fraternal twin sister. They never had a significant connection besides a mutual feeling of pity for the both of them.
- Attempted to become an artist at one point, but quit as he discovered that artists are "sad creatures" (he's just salty that he wasn't any good at it).

- He has a tendency to get into arguments easily, which is a behavior that wasn't as present before he graduated high school.
- Despite their obvious differences, Reid feels that he has a special connection his best friend Lenny and will do literally anything for him.
