Jeffery used to have a lot of issues. Growing up essentially being told that he was out of place and eventually that he'd ruined lives, he fled his family the second he gained some semblance of freedom. After wallowing around at rock bottom for a while, working as a weapons crafter for a shady group in Utah, his life begins to be set back on track when he meets Dillon and all his friends back home. Whereas before he came off as an imposing, serious figure, once he gains the trust of his new friends he blossoms into a genuinely kind and extraordinary personality. Even when he improves, Jeffery is still left with plenty of skeletons in the closet that he eventually has to pull out and address, but it brings him comfort knowing that he won't have to do it alone.
Jeffery naturally has cool, dark skin, deep brown eyes, and rough and scratchy coffee-colored hair. However, as a personal preference, the fringe at the front of his hair is bleached blond. He claims he only has this appearance because it looks cool, though he really does this in order to further disconnect himself from his family, feeling responsible for the death of his aunt on his father's side and wanting to distance himself not only geographically but also somewhat through appearance.
His build is tall and large, not in muscle but in fat. Regardless, he's an effective heavy lifter and is capable of tricky and agile maneuvers. It would be unjust to claim that he isn't body conscious – because he absolutely is, and tends to be rather obvious about it, whether or not he realizes that he is. His weight is pretty proportionally distributed, with just a bit more at the midsection than anywhere else. The most notable trait of his general gait is his grounded-ness – much of his power and stance is attributed to his connection to the ground, which helps him to stand strong for others when they need it. His face in general boasts a few small scars from scuffles over the years, and his face creases in strange places due to to injury and torment. Although this may make him appear unattractive to some, he'd never admit it, but he really does have the most beautiful smile.
Those who know Jeffery well can confirm that he's a locked book. His opinion on a person can switch in an instant, and regardless of the severity or context of a situation, he can change opinions rather quickly in a manner which may be jarring for others to witness. He is not an easily trusting person, having dealt with incredible liars in the recent past, and that has led him to act erratically in seemingly simple situations. Generally, he doesn't know how to interact with potential new friends and allies, so he attempts to avoid even crossing paths with them at all. Everything he does is in some form a proclamation of competency for himself, and even if others don't recognize that intention, he still relishes in the fact that he was able to express it in some way.

Jeffery was born to two parents and four older siblings in Singapore in the early 2000s. He struggled to life his life comfortably there due to differences with others at his school. When he finally was old enough to go to college, he used it as a means to escape from his family, and then absconded somewhere else in the world. He spent a few years moving around the place, both to stay under his family's radar and experience things for himself. Things slowed to a halt when he ended up in Provo, a city in Utah that had been on a rapid decline for the past few years. It was here that he eventually met Dillon Zhang, his friend and partner in crime. Together, they fought baddies and had a grand old time.
Eventually, Jeffery and Dillon traveled to California, where the state had recently been through a massive secession and had been suffering as a result. They both got wrapped up in a ton of drama and, while it ended well, with its end came the unfortunate death of Dillon. Without Dillon by his side, Jeffery felt hopeless and planned to return to Utah after the funeral, but he canceled these plans after growing closer to Zachary Xavier, one of Dillon's brothers. After Jeffery and Zachary met, they moved in with each other, learned to trust each other well, and did nearly everything with each other. All seemed well in the world.
Unfortunately, that peace couldn't last forever, and more drama arose. Plenty went wrong, but throughout all of it he remained the least affected, usually left watching in the heat of battle as horrible things happened to those around him. Apart from all of that, he went on to live a generally happy life as a comic artist and maintained his hobby of weapons crafting (which he had picked up in Utah). He usually lives a regular length life or dies in a shooting when he's 38, but I haven't decided on that yet.
Skillset
- Proficiency with shurikens and sickles and a seasoned weapons crafter.
- Has a hobby for art which eventually turns into a career as a comic artist. His main work is a comic autobiography.

Unique Abilities
- Can exhale pink flame and smoke, mostly due to intense emotion. When his necklace containing the flame breaks, the flame becomes less tame and more unpredictable.

Friends
Zachary Xavier: Stranger to BFF. Zachary and Jeffery didn't hit it off at first, but when they do they click well and form a strong bond. Their relationship is based on emotional support and trust, and they're very open from the get-go.
Dillon Zhang: Close friend and partner in crime. They met in Utah during a low point in Jeffery's life, and their escapades helped them grow closer as people. Jeffery was the only real person Dillon had to talk to after he had to leave his family behind, and Dillon was the only person Jeffery had to talk to about anything genuine, like, ever.
Fre'sa ★: Fre'sa is Jeffery's godthing, meaning that Fre'sa is responsible for monitoring Jeffery's life. When they meet, they actually don't get along well and disagree/blame each other for a variety of things, but after they both obtain the eternal flame they form a more trusting bond.
Lee McGale, Lenny Solano ★: They've bonded in the past over their humanity and have retained that bond.
Family
Marcus Mendoza: Jeffery's older brother. Jeffery feels closer to him than any of his other siblings, mostly since they're all significantly older than Jeffery and Marcus.
Unnamed Mother: Jeffery is relatively close to his mother. She's tough, adventurous, and hardworking, all qualities that Jeffery also had.
Unnamed Father: He's a quiet man, and although Jeffery has distanced himself from his father due to past events, they still love each other dearly, even if it's hard for them to say it.
Alexander Mendoza, Nima Mendoza, Cassidy Mendoza: Jeffery's older siblings.
- He has traveled across the world to find his place: Singapore, United Kingdom, South Africa, Utah, and eventually California.
- He's very reluctant to trust people, which is completely opposite from his best friend Zachary, who is often too quick to trust people. They balance each other out.
- While he is a comic artist, he has also molded and painted some masks in the past, including Dillon Zhang (Simone Ko Ree (alt persona))'s mask and his own mask, Jeffery Mendoza ★ (Marshal (Jeffery’s mask)).
