Why was she born like this? Why was it that she was stuck with this parasite on her head? She remembers her mother had once said the crystal eye on her forehead was beautiful, but it's since taken her mother's face from her. Surely something so sinister couldn't be beautiful... As she got older it only took more and more... What's real? What's an illusion caused by the stone? She can't tell anymore, and it terrifies her. She wants to go home, but she can't remember if it's really destroyed or not... Where was it again? 

As time went on her memories of her old life got worse and more distorted. She needed help, but nobody knew what to do. Finally it seemed her search had come to an end when a powerful wizard took her under his wing. "You can trust me." he promised... He'd keep the truth straight for her, and even find a way to fix her broken memories. His fee was small- something she could do. She knew how to wield a sword, and would gladly do so for what she'd been promised. One day she'll get things sorted out- she'll remember her mother's face, her home, and the people who once loved her... No matter who she has to cut down to do it.
