Candela

Candela is a cheerful Altaria from Black City, traveling around Unova performing songs as a solo idol. Her name is quite well-known around Unova and she's a pretty famous face, for her music and her charismatic nature alike- which, while she clearly enjoys the limelight, is a fact she somewhat regrets, as behind her cheery exterior, Candela hides a dark secret.

Very few know of it, as she makes a calculated and well-thought-out effort to hide it as well as she possibly can, but among the library of songs she knows is a malevolent melody...the dark aria known as Perish Song. She hates having to resort to it, and will use her charming voice and sparkling lights as much as she can before pulling out this final stop- only singing it when it's truly necessary. Not only is it generally seen as unsettling and scary and associated with dark or evil Pokemon, the fact that she's unable to sing the malevolent dirge without also making herself succumb to it is a sticking point for her as well. Ashamed of her knowledge, she tries to bury the fact that she knows the song at all, but she can never seem to get it out of her memory...

Candela may have a lot of admirers, but she doesn't really have a whole lot of friends, mostly because she's a bit of a nervous self-made shut-in when she's off of the stage. When she's not performing, she can be found wandering around Black City, occasionally buying snacks and whatnot but mostly just trying to blend in with the crowd or the shadows, whichever works better for her.
