focus on protection- can create barriers, negate curses, and harm trespassers, especially good at shields, so tired of his offense-focused friends running off with absolutely no plan to do some dumb shit, doesn't really know what he wants to do in life yet but he enjoys magic and being able to protect others, wants to make his parents proud, comes up with more unconventional uses for his magic, naturally drawn to ley lines and convergences due to his siren blood, experimented with manipulating the temperature of his shields but ultimately didn't have the patience for the academic aspects of research
