Racsaue

The first thing you understand about Racsaue is that they view themself as very important, perhaps even full of themself. Although they’ve been living mostly on their own for a very long time, Racsaue still calls themself prince and the like. Their own survival is far more important than anyone else’s anything.

Racsaue is very good at pretending to be cute and manipulating people to feed them. It definitely helps that they have a very round face and a naturally wide-eyed stare. They’ll take advantage of anything and everything in order to be fed. At this point, that’s their main directive.

Despite all of their self confidence, Racsaue is actually a very lonely person. They were exiled from their homeland for accidentally their own dad, so they haven’t seen very much of their own kind around. And since they see most other species as food, not friends, they’re eternally lonely. Perhaps it’s messed with their head a little bit - they’ve found themself talking to themself far too much.

Racsaue, although they’re an expert manipulator, is also easily manipulated with flattery. They like being called great and pretty and all sorts of nice things. It’s been a long time since Racsaue has been complimented and it’s basically their favorite thing. Warm fuzzies all around. Plus, it’ll get people out of being eaten. People generally like not being eaten and Racsaue likes feeling like someone likes them. It’s a win-win all around.

Racsaue was born as the crown prince in a very prominent vetehi tribe back on Earth. Their parents were getting on in years, so their hatching was a very special event. From a young age, Racsaue found themself always liked, always praised, and always given everything they could ever want.

Of course, being a spoiled little kid often leads to entitlement as an adult. So when responsibilities began being placed on a previously spoiled child, Racsaue did everything in their power to avoid them. From playing pranks to manipulating others to do their jobs for them, Racsaue did it all.

And the one day, this went a bit too far. Racsaue was only planning a simple prank on their father, happily oblivious to the human hunters above them. The prank was simple, the execution masterful. Except for the part where the hunters killed their dad.

Rather than promote them to monarch, however, the tribe decided that Racsaue was guilty of their father’s death and exiled them to somewhere far away, never to return.

So they went.

They didn’t know where they were going and they definitely didn’t notice when they broke through the edge of the universe by complete accident. It wasn’t until the fish they found to eat looked nothing like they’d seen before that they realized something was up.

Although it took them a while to adapt, they were able to figure out a new life. Racsaue spent their time learning to live in this strange new world and shaping the seas to their whim, unknowing of the magic beyond.
