Personality/Info

Alex's werewolf form. He still has the same personality and memories but acts a bit more like an animal when it comes to instincts and such. I like to think of it as 80% Alex 20% wolf. On full moons however, he's more influenced by his wolf side and might not act like his usual self, instead wanting to run around and hunt and all that fun stuff, letting go of his human self a bit more to embrace his inner wolf. Even on full moons he has full control and will never go on a rampage, he'll just be more inclined to chase a tennis ball or lick your face.. More bark than bite, he's really just a big teddy bear that might try to scare you away but wouldn't know what to do if that didn't work. He will growl and snarl, get in your face, but if that doesn't send you running he'll just freak out and start whimpering. It's not that he can't fight, he's more than capable if trouble were to arise, he just really doesn't want to. He becomes very protective in this form, but only when highly influenced by his wolf side. He also becomes very affectionate, wanting to be petted and the like, but he is also very proud of being a wolf so he refuses to be treated like a dog. He acts like he hates it when Nathan pets him but he secretly loves it. Wolf Alex tends to annoy very easily and becomes far less tolerant of Nathan's teasing and werewolf jokes. Definitely not the aggressive type but will tear you to pieces if you cross the line. He always looks intimidating, but it's all mush underneath that buff furry shell.

Alex acts slightly different in his werewolf form. Not so much that you might confuse him for someone else, it's just obvious that he is more influenced by his wolf instincts in this form. Wolf Alex is always hungry like your cliche anime protagonist. If you have snacks he will find them! He's also very energetic, but at the same time he's horribly lazy. He won't bother doing anything unless he's in the mood. Above all, he's a big dorky fluffball. It's hard to imagine him as a monster. When Alex is in his werewolf form he gains a strange sense of pride in being a wolf. This is something that isn't seen in his human form. Suddenly he's proud to be a "fierce predator" which is why he hates being petted and treated like a dog. It's degrading! Of course when he's human he doesn't feel that way at all. Alex is also very stubborn in his werewolf form, insisting on doing things himself and not needing help unless he's in big trouble. If he drops a fork, let him pick it up. Nathan learned that one the hard way.

Alex is a trueblood werewolf meaning that he is far stronger than that of a normal one. He has enhanced abilities and is also capable of turning someone through biting despite not being an alpha.

I'd also like to note that he cannot talk while a werewolf. He can understand everything but all he can say are growls and snarls.

APPEARANCE

He can either be drawn big burly and fluffy or a bit more slender. A lot of refs have him kinda skinny but he's a bit more muscular than that.. Has dark grey fur with a light gray/white underbelly and the same color on the tip of his tail. Has black fur on the tips of his ears. He keeps his tattoo even when a wolf. Can be drawn with torn clothes or nothing on at all, though tattered pants are preferred.

He is often seen wearing the torn remains of his clothing because he has a really bad habit of forgetting to undress before shifting. He ruins a ton of outfits which really annoys Nathan. After all, he's the one that goes out and buys Alex's clothes. Alex knows that if he wrecks an outfit, Nathan is really going to give it to him.

IN MY NOVEL

His wolf/werewolf form(s) are not seen much (if at all) in The Story. Seeing as Alex was introduced partway into Season 5, I didn't have much time to expand on him before The Story was over. However, in The AfterStory (otherwise known as the continuation of the novel forced into existence by friends) we get to see werewolf Alex for the first time acting as his true self. In The Princess of Princess Sarah, Princess Sarah wants rid of the new princess in town and sends each of the characters to her doorstep to scare her away with their unique abilities and characteristics. Nathan and fluffy monster Alex are selected as well. The plan was to have Alex scare her into leaving, but she just called him a furry and slammed the door on his tail. Let's just say we might not see wolf Alex ever again.

EXTRA

Nathan can somehow understand his growls and snarls and knows exactly what hes trying to say. Because of this, they can have normal conversations as if he was human. He is capable of some human speech while a werewolf, but only single heavily-growly words at a time. He can still read and even write, he's just not capable of talking in complete sentences.

One thing to note: In the universe where Alex resides, werewolves are about as rare as in real life. People always seem to think he and Nathan live in some world where the supernatural is common and everyone accepts it, but the truth is their world is meant to be similar to ours, just the extraordinary happens more often. There are more werewolves than you'd think, but they really only show themselves to people who have already met one.
