General

Sindr Powers is a main character in The Story. She serves as a quirky, energetic girl who joins the other characters on their daily adventures. Admittedly, she is a character I often forget about, but nonetheless she is an important part of the novel.

Personality

Sindr is best described as a "quirky girl". You know, the kind that's into all sorts of different fandoms and animes and can be obsessed with collecting merch and decorating herself with all sorts of random jewelry and colorful pins. Not quite an otaku because her interests reach out to other areas, but something in that same vein. She is energetic and vibrant; always eager to join in on an adventure or do something new and exciting. However, she's also been seen to do things like crawl on walls or just act weird in general, proving that she might not be 100% mentally stable. She often tries to be perverted like Dennis, but simply cannot surpass him in that regard.

Appearance

Sindr is a girl of shorter height and a slim build. She has red hair often tied up in a ponytail and sometimes decorated with a hairband or berets. Her eyes are also red because she wears contacts, but it is not a malicious-looking shade of red. Seeing as she debuted in Season 4 where there were no illustrations, she does not have a set outfit or main color. I've had her wear some kind of hoodie, but if you wish to make any fanart you are welcome to draw her in any kind of outfit you feel might work. I would prefer to stay away from a red hoodie specifically though as that would simply be a repeat of Sarah's redesigned outfit.

History

Sindr is based off of my cousin Sam whom I would often go and visit during Thanksgiving and other holiday breaks. Around the time I was partway into writing Season 4, I went down to visit her and told her all about it. She said she wanted to be a part of it and so she was added in the very next chapter I wrote. To say she had an introduction is an overstatement- she literally floated into the house when the characters opened the front door that day. Since then, she's appeared in various chapters since, but for whatever reason I always tend to forget about her. It might be because she doesn't quite stand out compared to how wacky the other characters can be. In any case, she has her moments. The name "Sindr" comes from some sort of nickname or online handle that Sam would go by.

In Season 5, it was revealed that Sindr is much more than she seems to be. When she had her own moment to star in a chapter, she found herself talking to Bob in the local diner. There, they had a very interesting discussion that revealed they are actually from the future (something Sarah hinted at earlier in Season 3's Life Without Chocolate) and were working to stop Zack so the tragic events of the future would not transpire. It seemed Sindr was actually someone of a different name who had been working behind the scenes to ensure The Story of the past went correctly, thereby avoiding a desolate future.
