Rei is a very relaxed and never seems to be in a rush. Even if he is late to class he will calmly walk down the hallway and into the classroom. Rei always tells the truth, He doesn't like the beat of the song? Blocked. He doesn't like the beat drop? Blocked. Though this does come in handy when he does something bad, immediately confessing is his go to. Rei can control his temper very well. You won't often see him blowing steam out of his ears or going off on someone. He goes with the flow even in weird situations, easily molding himself to the scenarios and doing whatever he has to. Quick and clever, Rei always seems to get good grades and often thinks of clever ways to get others to do stuff for him. He gets himself out of sticky situations with ease.

Rei is quite 4D, he isn't the most sane and will often do crazy things. Rock climbing without gear? He's probably done that. Skydiving? He’s also probably done that too. Whining is his go to, whether it be for food or simply attention, when he wants it, he will get it. He often resorts to aegyo and childish tactics to get someone to do something for him. Rei is quite the curious fellow, whenever something strange is going on he will be the first to investigate and the first to solve the mystery. Whenever he gets the chance to, he explores whether it be the campus or the moon. Rei is the “go with the flow” type of guy, he is easy going and is quite the talker.

Sadly this is when Rei’s honesty bites him in the butt. He often says stuff that could be taken as rude but he is quite oblivious to it. Whenever he says something he sticks with it and doesn't mind if people think he is insensitive. Rei always wants the best for himself, he eats well and sleeps well. Though this gets overwhelming when Rei takes all the good stuff for himself, leaving dust for the others. He treats himself everyday and thinks he's worth it. Rei never knows when he does something bad, so when people call him out he will most likely be confused. He can't tell the difference between good and bad and will definitely show it. Loud and clear Rei’s shouts will travel down the hall, his laughing hurting all those in the way. His boisterous attitude taking people by surprise when they thought he was just a chill dude. Impulses is how Rei gets everything done, all of his school work will only be completed on a whim. His ways always negatively trap others around him as these impulses are always something crazily stupid and nearly impossible, though Rei being Rei will complete these whims with or without everyone's consent.

Rei was raised in the famous city of Tokyo, Japan. He was brought up with both his Mom and Dad by his side, their strict but loving ways morphing him to the man he is today. His good grades always earned him a job well done and a pat on the back as he never strayed from his studying schedule and always did what he was told. In his later school years he easily earned the respect of many classmates by his chill attitude, grades and his great and ever so improving art skills.
Rei was born with blue and yellow color blindness commonly called “tritanopia”. Despite this, Rei showed a high aptitude towards artistic activities. The unusual and seemingly random colors he used while painting mesmerized and intrigued many around him. As a child Rei’s mind was free from any worries or constraints and that showed on the canvas. With flowing lines and intertwining shapes, overlapping, and swirling colors, all in wild patterns over his canvas. Although his parents were usually quite strict on him, they surprisingly loved Rei’s growing connection with painting. He was allowed to continue exploring his creativity and dived deeper into the little world he had built for himself.
In high school, Rei continued on his artistic journey. His parents had enrolled him in a high school that specializes in the arts and there he flourished. His paintings became quite popular and it seemed as though his career was set. At this time he also started exploring other interests he had, the main one being music. In response, Rei’s parents enrolled him in different music classes ranging from piano to even a guzheng. Rei, however, fell in love with the guitar. One thing led to another and Rei found his passion in the electric guitar and rock music. It wasn't a big deal to his parents at first but soon Rei had transformed from a sweet innocent painter boy to an edgy rock teenager. Rock had become his new passion. His parents shot the idea down pretty quickly. They wanted him to be a painter, painting was what he was successful in and there was no future in his music. With this sort of confinement, Rei grew to dislike painting. It used to be his whole world and safe zone but now it was something confining and forced upon him. He grew rebellious, hanging out with other rock kids and going to concerts. He stopped painting and would only play his instruments.
Rei’s passion for music and rebellious behavior continued to grow throughout his time in school. He continued on in his art but only for school assignments, and even then he purposely focused on themes he knew would urk his teachers. During his last year of high school, Rei met someone who sealed his edgy, rock boy fate. A Korean friend who hailed from Finland and had a particular interest in the bass. Together they spent their last year of high school enjoying their shared interest and cultivating their friendship. When the time finally came for them to part they cooked up an excellent plan. An older acquaintance of Rei’s introduced to them a college that would satisfy everyone's wishes. “Haneul College” would allow them to not only study their shared passion for art but also music. With their ever-growing curiosity of Korea, the option seemed almost too perfect.
With his parents growing desperation to get Rei back into art, they begrudgingly agreed with one condition. He was allowed to study music but his main focus had to be his art career. With this Rei was on the next flight to Korea with nothing but a suitcase, a friend, and his mediocre language skills.
