Personality - For a demon, Max could be considered quite young. He's not interested in the normal demonic pursuits of temptation and destruction and corruption. He's mostly interested in making the best cup of coffee known to man and demonkind. Any other creature too, if they have a discerning palate. He does take a special pleasure in grinding coffee beans. 

He does not remember much of how he came to be- he just knows he was. He came to awareness in the alley behind a tea and coffee shop, the rich aroma the first thing he inhaled. And it stayed with him even as he left. Max considers himself a fairly humble being- he has no delusions of grandeur. He does not even desire recognition. He thinks with his tongue and his tastebuds- and he his quite content to live his life in pursuit of that scent he was born to.
