Being the eldest son out of a total of 14 children, Aki never recalled a day in his childhood when he'd ever felt alone. His family was an old-fashioned one, proud of their purely fire elemental bloodline, but worked hard for their living. They struggled to make ends meet at times, but remained in good spirits so long as they had one another despite the financial bumps. Once he was old enough, Aki discovered that he'd had a knack for working with animals, and often traveled from home in order to make money to send back to his parents and siblings.

Having always lived along with Vahrians, Aehari and Abreterans, even when the war began, The Quaven family found little sense in suddenly hating the human neighbors who had always been there for them, and went on with their lives as peacefully as possible.

Everything had changed for Aki when one day while returning home for a holiday he had hoped to spend with his family, he'd found the entire village had been razed to the ground. Eventually finding someone he had known searching through the wreckage of their ruined home, he was informed him that Abreteran brigands had ambushed them, killing the men and abducting the women.

Blaming himself for not being there, Aki searched tirelessly for his mother and sisters before eventually moving to the Vahrian Capital in hopes that they might one day look for him there. Though he hasn't given up hope in finding them, his optimism has waned considerably over the years.

Oblivious to his own incredibly good looks, Aki continued his humble line of work with animals, landing himself a position working under the Crown.
