Wherwell Cockatrice Rescue ( http://wherwellrescue.tumblr.com/ ) is dedicated to the care of the domestic cockatrice, from finding new homes to educational outreach. We are happy to provide the public with a chance to care for these wonderful critters, as well as to provide information and answer any questions one may have.

Gidget is a micropterid cockatrice, and lives up to the breed standard in just about every way. She is about palm-sized and very rarely lands, preferring to fly around whatever enclosure (or home) she finds herself in. We should also note that Gidget is incredibly loud, constantly making shrill peeping and screeching noises, and is prone to headbobbing at anyone who tells her to quiet down.
