His Life as an Octarian

Clyde was an Octarian who lived in the outskirts of Octo Valley. He lived in a small house he fixed up himself, built upon rubble and rocks. As a male octoling, he was considered a minority to the Octarian Society, as female Octarians were proven to be better suited for work. With him as an outcast, he lived on his own and began to test his engineering skills.

An Encounter

One day, as Clyde was singing a quiet song to himself while he built a new invention, he suspected that someone was spying on him. Turning around, he found that he was accompanied by a fellow Octarian-a female octoling. Although Clyde was skeptical of the girl, he found her to have no bad intentions.

A Journey to the Surface

Reina wanted to try and help Clyde find potential in his engineering skills, so Clyde built walkie talkies for the both of them while she set off on a journey to help him find a place where his skills can be recognized. They kept speaking to each other, day after day, until one night, Clyde heard no response coming from his end of the walkie talkie. He opened up the object to see if there were any issues, but found none. After days of her absence, Clyde decides to go searching for her, remembering the places she told him about as she went along her journey. In time, Clyde found himself in the Deepsea Metro, where he becomes a test subject under the facility. He failed to find any traces of Reina within the Metro.

Current Day

Upon saving Agent 3's life during the events of Octo Expansion, Agent 3 offered to repay him by staying by his side as a guardian, to which Clyde happily agreed to. He now stays in a residential area between Inkopolis Plaza and Inkopolis Square as Agent 3's guest to her apartment. On a normal day, Clyde will go out to go do turf wars and practice his favorite sets of dualies, the Tetra dualies, while his agent friend attends her duties.
