Stria's Links
Brother. Although adopted, Rune has been part of Stria's life since her first day - literally - and that they aren't related has never crossed her mind. Another distant presence in her life, though little visits always awaken the wine-hued hind's adoration - even if her more predatory company keeps the little roe nervous. Somewhat grounding for Stria, reminding her to be wary and cautious of the unknown and to not barrel into it. Protective of, more so than most, due to his small stature. Firmly believes that Rune, despite his protests, does not eat well enough.
Often forgetting the size difference between them, Stria has never felt the need to hold anything back with Rune. As happy to wrestle with him as she is to tell him he's eating wrong, or rub mushed berries into his coat when he's sleeping.
Sister. Loved <33
Sister. The sisters are as different as one could imagine - and despite this there is a tenderness and understanding between them that Stria values very much. For someone who's had most of her decisions questioned or judged by family, the quiet acceptance she finds in her sister is deeply comforting. Protective of, at times almost clingy, but never possessive. A wild thing respects such in others.
Khuna is as wild as the breeze, unable to be pinned down and yet never one to abandon. No matter how fleeting her visits, Stria is always aware of and grateful for them.
Sister, the yin to her yang. Khuna has never questioned Stria for what she does and the same goes for Khuna. Although both sisters are quite different, the differences pull them together. Khuna admires the way her sister has adapted to her world and only sees true beauty when she looks at her. Protective of and adored.
Mother by bond. Loved and looked up to, a source of endless support throughout her formative years and onward. A relationship that's highly treasured, someone she trusts without question or restraint.
Adopted daughter, but one that Shahla would speak of and about as if she were blood and born from her just as the quintuplets. One of the closest bonds she holds, one of only two older children that Shahla believes she has done well by and retained her childs love without second guessing. Viciously protective of, and would lay her life down for the Wine without hesitation. Unconditionally loved.
'Mushroom'. Child-figure. Adored for similarities and differences alike, as well as their spitfire of a personality. Proud of them in more ways than she can properly express.
Mom-figure.
Loved, in their own way. Indulged by, often given what they need without asking. Originally hurt by the birth of her children, has grown to love them as siblings and enjoy the large family.
Does what they can to take care of both Freya and Stria.
A steadfast, stalwart presence, known for most of her life. In her youth, considered him only the Stone Balancer's 'boring' friend. As she's grown, come to appreciate the confident, stoic exterior he projects.
A periodic presence known throughout his time in the forest. Enjoys her company and how finnicky she occasionally comes of to him. Often find her amusing.
Attacked by as a fawn for reasons she could never understand. Returned the favour once grown, pinned the buck down and held him. No longer holds ill-feelings toward, though somewhat wary of.
Got bothered by when the female was still a fawn, getting irritated enough to attack her. Scared her off but only for long enough it took for the hind to grow drastically in size (read: got fat af) and was returned the treatment by her pinning him down with her weight. Stays away from now, but not without giving a serious stinky eye.
A girl her own size! Endeared by, quickly warmed to. Slightly protective over.
A big girl, one of the only ones that come close to her in size. Also this one has antlers! Intrigued by, likes the vibes she gives out. Experienced a couple new things with, finding out more about herself in the other's company.
Finds herself at ease around, sought out often for her presence. Fond of, despite knowing little more than her name.
A friend, though the Sunless doesn't quite remember why or how it came to be, if not just for the fact that their energies be vibin'. Perhaps seen as a peer more than anything as she doesn't know a lot about her at all but finds herself at ease around and one of the few she doesn't mind sharing closeness with.
Father by no more than blood; threadbare promises.
Daughter from Heartstrings. Met. Rejected by. Indifference.
'Watcher'. Known from birth, he has always been family. Guided by the old hart's wisdom in her youth and, though she craved his approval, rebelled against the majority of his advice. In time, learned that she could never mold her life to fit someone else's ideals. No longer conflicted over many aspects of their relationship and has come to a place where she can appreciate him for the things that frustrated her (and still do, at times) in her youth - content in the understanding they have of one another. Comforted and content in his presence as long as he sticks around and of the acceptance both have found in this arrangement.
Present for and bonded since Stria's birth, he witnessed a good portion of her growth in her early days before his increased absences, and considers her a daughter. Though he's not always been the fondest of her decisions in company or life progress, he's always supported her the best he can even where he cannot understand her. Regardless of his concerns, she's grown to be more physically capable even than he, and he's finally come to realize she does not need his protection anymore; regardless, whether she wants it or not, she still has it. She is constantly there to press at him and force him to face the world, encounter new things, and challenge old ideas; he is there to impart his own knowledge upon her and guide her where he can, if needed, though not always wanted. It is no longer about what he should do for her, and is instead about what they will do for one another.
Easily accepted as familial, though this goes unspoken. Finds she fits within quiet moments as if she'd always been there to share in them.
Unspoken family. Knows near nothing about, but fond of regardless and deeply respected.
this is my son he is small and soft like flower
REDMOTHER. Beloved, trusted, intrinsic.
Passed on some of her feline behaviors to him, as well as her long naps. Loves to bother her with questions and puzzle out her answers equally as much as he loves to sit in silence with her.
