"I'm good with whatever, really."

June is a fan character for the game Fire Emblem Heroes. Stoic but incredibly casual, June serves as the Order of Heroes' reliable summoner and head tactician.

Since the day she was summoned, June has won over countless Heroes with her calm and agreeable nature while steadfastly defending Askr and all the connecting realms.

Personality

June is absurdly easygoing, which is how she can get along with a variety of Heroes, even those with more grating personalities or views. She doesn't always approve of their behaviors, of course, but she'll humor them if they're simply being annoying and not outright harmful. Some see this passivity as a negative thing - a sign of spinelessness, a weak will, or acceptance of immorality. June does try to get Heroes that are at odds to come to an understanding (or, at the very least, tolerate each other), but won't allow for any threatening or antagonizing behaviors within her ranks.

She doesn't have much initiative, but has a great work ethic when assigned tasks and is easily convinced to go along with others' shenanigans. Not only will she support any of Anna's ill-thought plans with no comments as to how wild or grasping they are, but she'll make thoughtful suggestions on how to improve them. She also pulls way more dumb stunts than you'd expect for someone so calm. After her ridiculously high resistance to magic is discovered, Henry conducts "experiments" with her by casting increasingly brutal curses to see how much she can withstand. Alfonse thought his heart was going to stop when he stumbled upon their only summoner grinning and shrugging off curses so inhumane that they really should be illegal (even when she reassured him it was totally safe, don't worry about it!).

June is tempered in her displays of emotion and feels uncomfortable around people whose moods are more volatile. Narcian is tolerable to an extent; he's under the impression that June is a fan of his, so his mood around her ranges from "boastful" to "melodramatic." Other Heroes, such as Peri, Serra, or Michalis, leave her lost for words and unsure on how to react. The unpredictability stresses her out.

As someone so willing to compromise, she dislikes those who refuse to give even a little ground or consider other viewpoints.

Skills

Breidablik

Breidablik is a divine relic given to June by Anna. Originally believed to be a weapon, Breidablik calls out to Heroes and allows them to cross from their world to Zenith. Unlike the power Princess Veronica uses to bring Heroes under her control, this summoning is voluntary. Breidablik only calls to Heroes that are willing to lend their aid, regardless of their reasons. Their free will remains in tact.

Breidablik makes use of rare orbs in order to summon Heroes, but does not require them for its other functions. It can revive Heroes that have fallen in battle at the cost of a great amount of power and a long cooldown period. While Breidablik does not control Heroes, it does give June an aura of competency, trustworthiness, and understanding that makes an excellent first impression. Whether that impression changes or develops into something else is entirely on her.

On top of these core functions, Breidablik has capabilities in strategizing and in recalling knowledge relating to Heroes. The extent to which it provides a "connection" to Heroes is unknown.

As for its appearance, Breidablik has an odd shape that is often mistaken for a hatchet, some kind of bow, and in at least one instance, a trumpet. It has similarities to a weapon from June's world, but the barrel is far taller. A strange "keyhole" shape can be seen when looking into the end of it.

Magic

June is unaffected by all magic save for the unique world-bending type that the Askran and Emblian royals are capable of. Breidablik and the portals also harness this specific type of magic. Curses and hexes cast on June refuse to take, and elemental magic directed at her curves around her or snuffs out when it nears.

Historical Knowledge

June has "studied" countless worlds and the Heroes that inhabit them. While other strategists rely on probabilities and general enemy behavior, June excels in using her vast knowledge of history to gain the upper hand. She is able to predict Heroes' behavior and recall similar situations, noting how they were (or weren't) resolved.

The power of Breidablik enhances her recollection of this knowledge and very occasionally fills in the gaps where her own knowledge fails.

Basic Public Education

It's handier here than you'd think!

Tactics

June is not a fighter by any means, but does not hesitate to get into the thick of battle to give orders. The strategies themselves are like her: relying on patience and responding to the enemy rather than going on the offense. They're also made to be flexible in the case of any accidents or surprises by the enemy. If a few parts of the plan go wrong, that's okay! There's always a backup maneuver.

Breidablik gives June insight into the workings of battle and an instinct she may not have otherwise.

Background

June moved into to a studio apartment on her own in order to attend a nearby college. She was working on a bachelor's degree in Graphic Design and a minor in Advertising. An average student, June got decent grades and was praised for her creativity, but was quiet and rarely interacted with her fellow students. Secretly, June wonders if anyone noticed her disappearance.

Arrival in Zenith

When Anna summoned June to their world, the Order of Heroes was on the brink of destruction. June was immediately thrust into the position of Great Hero with little fanfare and little complaint. She accepted her magically-assigned position without question and turned the tables against Embla with her tactics and newly-recruited Heroes. What was originally a last-ditch effort against seemingly insurmountable odds resulted in the Emblian army's first retreat in months.

Once the fighting calmed, June was somewhat lost, wandering around the castle and not really knowing what to do with herself. The Askrans took note of her aimlessness and worked to help her settle in better. Alfonse helped her get acclimated to their world and castle, Sharena to their culture and people, and Anna to her duties as Summoner.

Heroes

Anna

[ Determined Commander ] Anna is steadfast in her defense of Askr and the connected realms. She is deeply caring and considers all Heroes her charges, not just the Askrans. Despite her commitment to respecting others, her tendency to act before she thinks makes her come across as inconsiderate. Underneath her confident exterior, Anna struggles with perfectionism, and takes personal responsibility for many of the Order's failures.

She and June had a rocky start, with Anna's workaholic nature, tunnel vision, and stubbornness conflicting with June's lax attitude, self awareness, and lack of drive. As time (and war) goes on, they learn to see past their differences and find common ground.

Sharena

[ Excitable Friend ] Exuberant and social, the princess of Askr is often the first to reach out to Heroes, including the Summoner. June admires her sunny outlook. However, Sharena's boundless energy sometimes wears her out.

C0jNmTS.png

Alfonse

[ Concerned Ally ] An anxious prince who both desperately craves company and actively rejects it. The Summoner appreciates his professionalism and rational nature, but finds herself frustrated by the mixed signals.

Henry

[ "Flighty" Friend ] Henry and June get along like two peas in a pod. With how serious some of the other Heroes can be, Henry's optimism, cheery disposition, and predictably chaotic behavior are a breath of fresh air. June has a keen interest in how magic works and helps Henry with his experiments. Henry cannot WAIT to introduce his wife Miriel to her!!

GSCyaqF.png

Soren

[ Prickly Advisor ] Everyone believes that Soren hates the Summoner, since he's always picking apart their plans and calling them out for their behavior (or for burdening Ike with too much work). June takes his abrasive attitude in stride and values the criticism underneath. She's genuinely grateful for his input, and Soren isn't quite sure how to take that. They are not friends, certainly not.

RVtFG0x.png

Lyn

[ Peerless Ally ] Lyn loves the Summoner! She admires her for being able to keep the more thickheaded Heroes from hurting themselves and each other. In addition, the Summoner's calm disposition and knack for tactics remind her of someone close to her.

SITs8ff.png

Narcian

[ Loser ] Narcian is under the impression that June looks up to him, and June has never bothered to correct him. This assumption has resulted in Narcian being surprisingly agreeable to the Summoner's wishes. June only likes him for his wyvern.

Frederick

[ Inflexible Knight ] June doesn't have any personal qualms with Frederick, but they don't see eye-to-eye. Frederick doesn't approve of her leadership methods and takes issue with her helplessness and perceived laziness.
