Born to the infamous mob boss, Nobutaka Deguichi, Justis was trained from a young age to take over the family business. Even as a kid, it was pretty clear that he would fit into the mob life just perfectly. Not only was he a natural fighter like his dad, he was a deceptive kid as well; after all, his mother did raise a polite man. No reason he couldn't put those manners to use in a way that'd be beneficial to the mob though, right?

Each scar he racked up was proof of his dedication to the family, of how far he was willing to go to expand their power; the scar on his right shoulder a testament to the continuing feud between the Deguichi's and the Waltz's, when the current Nightingale managed to get a shot in after a chance encounter. Of course, she didn't leave without a scar of her own.

The encounter only motivated him more, to strengthen the mob, and to finally end the Nightingale's line once and for all.

Justis is an extremely charming man, with a gentle and warm approach upon first meeting. He's polite and places great importance on manners, and treats most people that he meets with apparent hospitality. While this kindness isn't necessarily an act, it is very much a tactic in order to gain potential allies and put others at ease. After all, you can catch more flies with honey, right? He can be pretty secretive about his true motivations until it's beneficial to him, and is more quietly calculative than anything else.

He's incredibly ruthless when it comes to those he feels are a danger to him, his family, or the mob, and holds little to no mercy when it comes to those who pose these threats. Despite his rather intelligent nature, he's somewhat dense when it comes to any possible romantic advances (and by somewhat I mean he's a dumb-dumb you need to be very, very explicit). Justis is also a family man at heart, and is very doting of his loved ones.
