The Hosekikos

"They physically came to be, when a former animal happens to die in the area of the enchanted gems, and with a stroke of luck, managed to get their soul sealed in the gem for reincarnation as a hosekiko. The process can take a year to a decade. When the animal is reincarnated or rebirthed, snippets or their whole entire memory is brought along with them; Initially making them mentally confused about their change of physical appearance from their past-lives feral form and how they were suddenly an infant. Regarding basic appearances, a Hosekiko is able to range from any creature imaginable, and from that be able to have any type of gem be evident on their bodies.The Hosekiko are almost immortal, due to the fact they were reincarnated with the use of an enchanted gem. They age normally from infancy to their teenage years, but appearance-wise they slow down on aging once they are around 18.Their gems are incredibly important to their being, taking in consideration they were the reason for their reincarnation. A Hosekiko's gem cannot be broken unless their gem was broken before it got enchanted. Their gems can be removed, but that would be incredibly painful for the Hosekiko and removes a large fraction of their 'immortal' lifespan. Once the gem itself is removed, it becomes a normal gem."
