Lupe

Lupe was born into an abusive relationship between her mother and her father. She witnessed domestic violence between her father and her mother on a regular basis. Lupe grew scared of her father due to his abuse nature, both verbally and physically, she would typically hide in her closet when she heard him yelling at her mom. When Lupe was 6 years old, she attempted to repair an electrical outlet in their apartment with her father's tools that he left by it. Her father returned and almost hit Lupe for what she did, but her mother stopped him before he had the chance to. Due to Lupe's interests, she excelled in school with the science and math subjects. The teachers gave her a hard time and made her retake tests due to them thinking she was cheating. Lupe's parents were upset upon hearing how the teachers were treating their daughter. Lupe's mother arranged things with the school's principal to advance her a few grades. Lupe's father was shot dead when she was in highschool due to one of his coworkers fearing for his own life. Her mother told Lupe that she'll try to help Lupe attend college, though it wasn't likely to happen. Using her knowledge about electronics that she studied in school, Lupe decided to become an electrician to support the both of them. Lupe met Kiki while on the job when she was repairing one of the electrical systems in one of the trains at the train station that Kiki was at. Lupe really liked how positive Kiki was and how interested she was with the electonic side of the train that she drives. This is how the two of them became friends.

1. Lupe's main source of shyness comes from her upbringing, but while she is trying to overcome that, she's self-consious voice sounds with her slight accent when she speaks English to new people.
2. While Lupe is an electrician at her job, she plays around with electronics at her apartment. She even has a few electronics in her purse that she takes with her, just in case if she is able to help someone out!
3. Even though that Lupe met Sarah many years before she met Kiki, Lupe is typically seen with Kiki. She looks up to Kiki for positive energy from her outlook on life.
   • Sometimes Lupe can be found with Sarah, but their interactions are usually cut short since they have differing interests and Sarah's dismissiveness towards how Lupe feels. Lupe tries to distance herself from Sarah a bit.
4. Lupe is blilingual, so she can speak Spanish and English fluently. However, she has noted that some of her English-speaking friends have a hard time understanding what she says in Spanish, since her accent thickens and she speaks too fast.
   • Meanwhile... those who speak Spanish say they are impressed with how fast she talks and they like the way her accent sounds!
5. Many like to consider the the technical-minded one. She likes the fact the others can turn to her if they experience any troubles with thier computers, or any electrical issues they may have!
