Mu : /mo͞o,myo͞o/, symbol micron. the prefix comes from the Greek μικρός (mikrós), meaning "small". Mutton : /ˈmətn/, noun the flesh of sheep, especially mature sheep, used as food. Mu, however called Mutton by his fellow constellation-mates, is a star system found in the northern constellation of Aries. He is generally known as the star system Mu Arietis by astronomers. Mu has always felt out of place in Aries, as he was timid, shy, and weak. Aries as a whole is greatly known for the image of a ram: brave, strong, and has the virtues of being a leader. He was nothing like that, and so was constantly bullied by others to "man up" because they claimed he was destroying the image of Aries. He was also given the nickname Mutton to signify that his only end game was to end up as meat, being eaten up by those stronger than him. Slowly, due to constant bombardment of negativity and insults, Mu fell into depression, and secluded himself from the constellation and the galaxy. Tired too of trying to change Mu into a "true Aries", the other star systems of the constellation decided that he was probably called Mu due to his small and insignificant part in the constellation. Eventually, because of this rumor, the insults died down, however he was now treated with ignorance and coldness, making it as if he was a disgrace to Aries. |
