- he has a very close relationship with his mom, and worked a lot of odd jobs from a young age to help out since it was just the two of them at home, like pet sitting, delivery, restock, etc., but it was because he wanted to and he feels pretty positive about it. one day, in a moment of dumb luck, he happened to get scouted off the street for his naturally good looks and moved to the big city for a modeling opportunity. he still regularly sends money home to his mom, who's kind of sickly these days

- he also dotes on epsi since she's his only other family but is troubled by her rebellious behavior these days
- he acts as a liaison for epsi's dad when epsi needs to get bailed out of trouble, something her dad is very thankful for since epsi is willing to call gigi but not her dad
- coincidentally, he also gets along well with epsi's grandpa, he's kind of like the father figure gigi never had
- both his biological parents and his actual mother figure were painters and he grew up in a small, photogenic town that's popular with artists. he hasn't really studied art himself but is somewhat artistically inclined as well
- calligraphy is a random talent of his, he pretty much always writes in an almost aristocratic-looking cursive because he enjoys it and is good at making it look nice. he also has a very aesthetic signature
- lately he's been thinking about the impermanence of a modeling career and is looking into other lucrative career options. he hasn't found one he's actually good at yet
- in general he's also getting pretty sick of the modeling industry, especially the two-faced and superficial nature of it
- he struggles with making genuine friends since a lot of people will make assumptions about him or approach him with ulterior motives, because of that he can come off a bit strong when he meets people that aren't like that
