About

Appearance

Nelvanniss is quite tall. Her features are sharp. Her hair is straight, reaching to her lower back, and of a white color with a few strands possessing a more blue-ish hue. She's taken to weaving a part of her hair into two braids on either side of her face. The womans eyes are red, with slitted pupils that get very wide in low-light conditions.

She dresses above her status, showing a particular fondness for navy blue fabrics.

Notable possessions

In some roleplays she used to possess a magical staff, affectionately nicknamed "The Vampwand" by my then-GM. The staff is made of a dark wood and very top-heavy. Four owl heads are carved out of its tip - each facing in a different direction. Above the heads there sits a red jewel. The staff gives power to the wielder, aiding tremendously in casting certain types of spells, but in return it needs to be fed. The wand requires blood to "recharge" and when its thirst is denied for too long it'll take that blood from whoever is the first to hold it.

In Pathfinder she had no Vampwand, instead possessing an eidolon (nicknamed "Wendy" by either myself or the "Vampwand" GM :P) whom she uses as both defense and a mount. Creepy human-deer-wendigo monster.

History

Long story short - she was born to a formerly wealthy noble family that'd dwindled and lost a lot of their fortune due to backstabbing and fights for power. Being the youngest of her siblings she didn't stand to gain much in terms of inheritance. So, when her parents died she stole a ton of money, "The Vampwand" and other assorted items that should've rightfully belonged to her siblings, before leaving home in search of her own followers, her own power. She goes by the name of "Nemesis" nowadays, having chosen the word purely based on its sound.

Other

Nelvanniss is a very old character, first created in my "edgy phase" as a 13-year old. For most of her history she was called "Nepthys Nemesis Ihhario". The name change only coming forth when I updated her a couple of years ago and realized that maybe naming a medfant character after an egyptian goddess was a mistake. She retains some homebrew-drow characteristics, such as her lack of connection to The Underdark) and the slit pupils making her more a nocturnal elf than a subterraneal slaver, but overall I'm quite flexible in changing her to fit a particular setting where she to find use anywhere.
